Well folks looks like i wont be able to post any images so it appears i started this thread for nothing, the images size restrictions is way too low for me to send the images i have i cant set the camera any lower as most of my images are 135kb or more. Most of them are MBs and i get them down in size by clicking on the image like I'm sending as an email which reduces it down to a KB size image but whatever size it reduces it by is what it is and i cant change it to something lower so at this point not sure what to do. I find it very annoying as i don't have the spare time to waste and the way it used to be was convenient as it only took seconds to send a image but not now.? Moderators i need a suggestion ? :(

Hi, I'll check the attachment size restrictions. Were you trying to attach the images, or simpy link to them?

Takama

While I was at the Morrison Museum in Colorado, I came across these.

its nice to see your work in person. :)

DinoToyForum

The attachment limits were set very low indeed, so I guess that's what the problem was. I've removed the limits so you shouldn't have any further problems - but let me know.

Still facing some teething problems as I'm getting used to the new setup. :D Most members tend to link to images that they have uploaded elsewhere, so it's the first time I've encountered this issue. ;)

I should think so. I'll check. I also noticed the images don't show up in the recent posts view, but there may be a fix for that too. Generally though, I recommend that members upload photos elsewhere (there are plenty of free hosts) and then embed them in the post with an [ img ] code, rather than upload them directly as attachments. Forums in general aren't really suited for image hosting. In fact, this reminds me I should add an 'how to post an image' thread to the FAQ section.

Edit - Guests can now view attachments.  C:-) And I've increased the thumbnail size. But I can't get them to appear in the post body, only below the post, so they wont show in the recent posts list. Oh well.

A list of various free hosts and how to easy it is to get an account would be good as well. FB has become one of favorite hosts..it resizes my huge pics into more manageable ones.  An artist like Shane here should have a Deviant Art account as well I think.. ;D

BTW..are those two juvi Stego only being held up by rods ? Odd. lol
