just a suggestion: the mods should delete inactive/unupdated ads more than a year old. i dont know if im the only one annoyed to see old ads being revived by noob members.

Can you provide an example?

There was a case of someone necro-ing my old "Schleich's Future" thread, which was originally posted about two years or so back. I'm pretty sure there are other, more extreme examples.

The example I saw was someone inquiring if Seiijun still had her Invicta Lambeosaurus, from her ad back in...2013. I was able to respond, because I believe I did buy it eventually

Thanks for the examples. That sort of thing doesn't bother me so long as the resurrecting posts are relevant to the threads. C:-)

Again more bold type capital letters and exclamation marks really Killekor are you trying to upset people?

Posting the same thing in every thread...seriously dude...stop it.

Sorry guys, I don't want to sound patronizing but it's not telling him how to behave that you'll serve your purpose. There's already been an OT in another thread because people basically asked Killekor to be banned, I think that is up to moderators to call him out, in case. I honestly don't see what is so irritating for you, he's not having any abusive or trolling behaviour, he's only a bit exuberant and repetitive. Not a big deal anyway, you can easily ignore him. Just my two cents.

I agree and I'm a bit confused. To me bold type capital letters express excitement or I'm using them to highlight important words.
Are we going to ban a 12 year old because of excitement for the new Papo figures? Come on! That's trumpish and ridiculous - not the DTF way.
And if being repetitive was a reason to be banned, we'd loose a lot of members.
C:-) If you have a problem with any post, please contact a moderator and he or she will tell you what's appropriate and what's not.

i myself am getting used to Killekor and trying to be tolerant (i used to get annoyed at him too before). if you are getting upset at his antics, just put him on ignore. he is just a kid fcs.

I have been strolling through killekors last 150 posts and found nothing he wrote against the rules. Sometimes his style is a little annoying perhaps.  But does anyone remember MY overwhelming and naive happiness after I had found this place eight or so years ago?  I used to double post and many posts were wows and oohs and I wants. Had I been dealt with as schoolmasterly and trumpish as Killekor sometimes is being dealt with I certainly would not be here anymore. Just my thoughts.

...well, most of Killekor's comments  are quite useless but he is young and I think he shouldn't be banned for that...  :)

About repetitions, I suggest a funny game: try to locate the expression "shrink-wrapped" on DTF and link it to the person who used it; it could be fun..  ;)

I agree, Killekor has absolutely curbed his behaviour in response to mod warnings, and yet he still seems to get people picking over his every comment, even perfectly innocuous ones.  I for one commend his persistence - I think I would have left the forum feeling unwelcome if I were him, by now.

Just an observation from an unprolific poster - there's nothing wrong with young Killekor's posts. We should all remember that this a toy forum and we shouldn't be surprised if children want to post here. My eldest daughter is actually older than Killekor's and should she choose to join a forum, I would hope that the other posters treat her with some respect and patience. Killekor is also writing in a second language and so may not always catch the nuances from other posters or pick up on cues. Calls for banning are thus in my view over the top, so well done to Doug Watson, Libraraptor and the other posters for sticking up for the youngster.

I agree with Crackington's assessment and viewpoint of the situation.

Well-said, Crackington.

I can't say exactly why but I'm quite fond of killekor actually  :) his enthusiasm makes me smile for the most part. The only thing that I thought he could change was advertising his threads in other threads and he doesn't do that anymore.

Silvanusaurus

Killekor is well meaning. It's nice to have someone around who doesnt criticise everything. I'm a miserable git myself, and I wish I was as positive as him. Killekor, if you're reading this; you are gold, always believe in your soul.

Myself I always thought it would make sense to have a sub board or area for designated for kids....so they could do their thing there without impeding or perhaps in their youthful exuberance wearing on others nerves....then we could move the many games and what not topics there and voila...

I just look at it as, this is a small community in what amounts to a fringe community. Why try and make someone feel unwelcome--in particular, if their attitude tends to be positive anyway? It's too easy to become jaded, bored or frustrated after many years of a hobby (cough) so it's nice to occasionally see someone with unfettered enthusiasm!

Besides...you don't have to read posts if they don't interest you. I just click the 'Read Unread Topics' link--it just gives a quick link to topics that have been posted in, since I last visited. You only see the topics that you choose to click on.

I was probably the same was as Killekor a few years back. (In fact as soon as I saw this forum i went through my dinosaur toy box and put all of the safari figures on shelves, just to start my collection.) Even now, I'm still 13 so I can understand how Killekor feels I guess. As you guys have already said, just let him be happy and enthusiastic about whatever he wants. I don't mind.  :)

I never mind his posts.   I understand he is young.   However to see people get irked by simple things he posts kinda makes me wonder if the community has changed fro  what it used to be back in 2012. Bqck then i was a little crazy with my posts. But no one seemed to care. Or maybe they came off as more mature after all.
