We're not talking about the thorny sail. How does that make it less of an animal anyways?
True, there are spiny animals, but I've never visualized dinosaurs that way.

...it's not a croc.

Maybe the new finds a mistake! Spino lived with sarcosuchus! Maybe the new legs belong to a mega croc! They were mixed up after death!
What is your problem? Why can't you just see dinosaurs as what they are, animals not monsters.

Uh, have you seen crocodils limbs? There's is no way they could get mixed up with theropod legs, they're totally different!

I do! But making them tubby and thorn covered doesn't make them animals.

... It was just a hope.
There is no reason to make them so spiny, I agree, but they were stocky and muscular animals, they weren't walking skeletons!

Why would you hope that, Spinosaurus gets cooler with every new discovery.

But they wernt walking globs of fat either!

I don't think theirs enough proof for us to redesign the legs.
I may not like feathered dinosaurs and stumpy legged Spinosaurs, but I will keep those opinions to myself, I will not start a debate over it, I promise. 😇

How do you know they aren't globs of fat? Also, how much fat depends on the animal. I don't think Spinosaurus was so chubby, that it couldn't walk.

That picture isn't! It depicts a healthy, very fit animal.

Maybe not, we'll have to wait for the paper, but it makes a lot of sense to me really.

Go ahead if you wish. Anyway, and this is the last time I'm going to say this, that Spinosaurus is NOT FAT! It is fit and healthy just as it should be.

Well, Velociraptor was not shrink wrapped for sure. It had feathers so it would resemble a pigeon. :))

I actually thought we were talking about dinosaurs in general.

Yes, but it became spinocentric.

No.

Here, Ultimatedinoking, what is wrong with depicting a mosasaur like this?

Yes. All of those bald Jurassic Park "raptors" had the feathers eaten away by a terrible mite known as Spielbergia :)).

Okay, what's wrong with that? It lived like a whale so why shouldn't it look like one?
