The figures of soutlands replicas are fabulous, their representations are very realistic. Fortunately, these animals still coexist among us, I hope it wasn't the same case  in the future that the of other animals that unfortunately are extinct in relatively recent dates such as the dodo, ivory-tipped woodpecker, thylacine and equus quagga for putting four sad examples.

I don't collect mammals but that bongo looks so nice.

The antelopes of Collecta, Schleich and Safari are great, but perhaps I like the safari aligator more, the crocodiles are interesting animals.

Thanks for the photos @Robin as always all fabulous.

A brief story of Velociraptor through figures and depictions ...  ;)

In the beginning Velociraptor was a little and ferocious "lizard"  >:D

With Jurassic Park, things went even worse: Velociraptor was a big and dangerous meat-eating-dinosaur:

Slowly more accurate raptors saw the light of day..  ::)

..and then: Feathers  O:-)

Less feathered raptors:

Full feathered raptors:

Finally a bird-like look:  ;D

Here it is the more recent Velociraptor's depiction by David Silva: Beast of the Mesozoic Velociraptor mongoliensis (1:6)

A prototype of Velociraptor that never saw the light of day: Griffon/Master Fossil:

Beautiful collections of velociraptors are reflected in the different paleoartistic representations of that dinosaur species from the JP / JW interpretation, through scientific or retro interpretations, from velociraptors articulated in greater or lesser part, to static velociraptors completely.

How beautiful the Beast of the Mesozoic are tempting figures, both the buitreraptor and the zhenyualong.

Without being so articulated Beast of the Mesozoic could happen as figures of equal quality that the figures of prehistoric resin animals and not exaggerate.

By the way, Robin, are the trees that make up the Beasts of the Mesozoic diorama removable or do they come in one piece? I really like those models.

Faelrin

That Linheraptor looks absolutely fabulous with the Microraptor. You managed to capture the iridescence quite well too.

It is overall pretty interesting to see how far dromaeosaurid toys have come, especially with Safari Ltd's Feathered Velociraptor and the BotM figures nailing them (fully feathered, including wings with primaries attached to the second digit, lips on the BotM figures, etc). I think Papo's attempt was nice, because at the time it was really the closest, until Safari Ltd put out their's, and then the BotM figures that followed.

Thank you.  ^-^

Papo is quite conservative with his figures.
He's worried that clients don't understand "feathered" dinosaurs.  ???
Into Papo catalogue only that Velociraptor and the new Therizinosaurus have (a few of) feathers.. ;)

avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus: your post has a wrong word in English.  You might want to edit it to "raptors"!

But I agree with the sentiment.  RobinGoodfellow has amassed a beautiful group of these Beasts, and beautifully photographed.

I apologize, it was a typing mistake. I was referring to the excellent collection of raptors I feel I have offended you or any member of the forum. It was not my intention, in fact I have already modified that insulting word in my initial writing.   :-[

avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus:  there is of course no offence caused. I know it was just a mistake. Thank you for changing it!
