Rebor: 1/35 Scale Deinonychus Trio: "Cerberus Clan"

If they do sell Act 2 and Act 3 separately (which I assume they will), I'll likely wait for Act 3 and see if I can fit the Deinonychus pack in with just the Acro. I'm not really too interested in a dead Tenotosaurus with a missing head and a plain display base. The Fallen Queen is a completely different case because I need it to keep my T-Rex upright.

I'm totally going to be buying this corpse and I really kind of hope it's detachable so I can have my papo's stealing Herc's dinner.  >:D At least until the Cerberus Clan shows up.
I was honestly hoping they'd make it so Windhunter was a part of Herc's diorama and the other three dinos were her pack-mates. Oh well. ^_^ I can't wait to see the Deinonychus. I wonder if they'll all have their own color scheme.
You can still use Wind Hunter with Hercules. ^_^
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

Victoria's Cantina

I wonder if the Deinonychus trio will lack eye pupils as well since apparently it's a nighttime scene.

Rogue1stClass

Deinonychus is one of the most important finds of the 20th Century, in large part responsible for the Dinosaur Renaissance, but is so underrepresented in toys that Rebor could completely half-ass it and still have the best one on the market. I can't wait for this. No interest in the corpse, though.

QuoteReading the quotes in the first post, I also "love" how REBOR claims that their Utahraptor is the cause of "better public acceptance of feathered dinosaurs".
Oh brother ::)

Or the one that says they have set up prestige in the field. Haha

Ohh yes about what rebor said with their utahraptor...so sad. im not an expert in scientific accurate dinosaur figure, but at least i know in a little bit about it. If this deinonychus end up like the utahraptor, perhaps i will not put my money on this one, but...their corpse looks so cool look at that intestine  :o we can combine it with the acro taking the head to home

I really hope they'll be accurately feathered. I shouldn't be optimistic considering how their Yuty and Utahraptor turned out, but they've been on an accuracy roll as of late and I got a good feeling they'll do them right. (I hope.. :-\ )

EDIT: Just now noticed what Patrx said, sorry if it seems like I stole your post  ::)

Regarding the bolded part: With what?  The currently unreleased Dimorphodons?

Utahraptor is not known to have coexisted with Acrocanthosaurus or Deinonychus.  Of course, you can still use the Rebor Utahraptor with the others if you want to, as Shadowknight1 showed!

Since the complete scene is done in 1:35 scale, the deinonychus are very small (which is great for comparing different dinosaurs). I think u wouldn't see the pupils anyway.

If these raptors are feathered and sculpted well (no standing issues), this could be a unique diorama

I am really surprised no one has picked up on this mistake. In what universe do your pupils get smaller in the dark? In the dark your pupils dilate, they should be bigger not smaller.

stargatedalek

I don't think it's meant to be the pupils changing size, I think it's meant to be like their eyes are shining and reflecting light obscuring the details.

Not saying I'm fond of it but I do follow the train of thought they were going for.

CityRaptor

The whole tapetum lucidum thing....Now the question is if it will look like this:

Or this?

As for Wind Hunter vs. Hercules: That sort of happened in Raptor Red.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Well that doesn't make sense either since the pupils are visible and are small, so unless the girl from Jurassic Park is there shining the flash light at it the pupil would be large. That doesn't make the piece wrong but their explanation should have been that the hunt takes place at high noon on a bright sunny day. Now if they give the Deinonychus large pupils that will be a wrong, unless they are hiding in the shadows.

Only if someone has taken a flash shot of it or it it with a light source. Not many of those around back then.

CityRaptor

Yes, that is the problem. They probably think that animal eyes do that on their own.

Thus they will need Act 4: The guy with the flashlight. Given the naming theme, that one would probably be named Iolaus.

Viking Spawn

With everything they've mentioned so far, I'm dying to see their Savage vs. Ravage duo!   I will most likely buy everything but I'm especially wanting to see that one!

Part 3 will be a 2-inch high person with a flashlight. All is right in the world.

"oops" just post something that made no sense, self edited. Get back to work Doug!

Their Cerato and Acro is what I was referring to. A huge step up (in terms of accuracy, mind a few flaws) from their previous products so I've got a good feeling they'll do a right...hopefully

It probably helps that both of those are scaly Theropods.
