To be honest, its not a bad figure, despite being a knock-off.

Joining the nerd are the mini CollectA figures! Love these little ones!
CollectA really should release, preferably a deluxe version, of the Apatosaurus!

Some prosauropods:

And sauropods proper:

Here's my sauropod collection, such as it is. I've only started collecting less than a year ago. What reawakened my long lost love for dinos was the Papo models... I had no idea such incredible things were being made. I'm up to 50 now, and can't seem to stop buying. My sauropods are pictured here with my life-sized 11 pound 4 ounce Largemouth Bassosaurus.

That's exactly what I mean.  ^-^
The choreography of your shelf is perfect.
It got swing, it got drama and a very nice flow to it. I love it!

The Argentinosaurus is a very impressive sculpt and kudos to Reinier.
I like the subtle colours he decided to give it.
I was tempted to buy it when he put it up for sale, but I was in a bad place at that moment money wise.
So congratulations.  8)

I'm not one to turn down a bargain :)
When I saw Reinier's offer I knew I had to act quickly.
It has been a dream come true for me to acquire the beautiful Sean Cooper Argentinosaurus.

Thank you for your thoughts.

I have a decent amount of sauropods. My favorite is the Safari Ltd. Apatosaurus. I just got it on Saturday. For Easter, I got a toob of mini dinosaurs from Walmart that had a Giraffatitan, an Apatosaurus(I think), and some kind of prosauropod. I am getting the Papo Apatosaurus soon. It is at the top of my dinosaur model want list. I will post pictures of my sauropod collection soon.

Oh, finally had some time to revive some of my old threads here! >:D So first up is my beloved sauropod collections.

They were one of the biggest animals that ever roamed the planet! My fascination with sauropods is what got me into the collecting hobby. When I first started, I was only collecting the sauropods.
Back then, there were not very many choices, both in species and product. There was the staple Brachiosaurus, followed by Apatosaurus and Diplodocus, and the odd Mamenchisaurus. But that was pretty much it. It was only in the last few years that more species have been added to the list. Companies like CollectA had doubled the number of species, and introduced many obscure ones.
Now, we have a dizzying number of figures to choose from. To date, I think there are about 23 species of sauropods represented in the toy line. This makes them one of the most diverse, only surpassed by the theropods.
So here they are, my beloved sauropod collection, enjoy!

The rearing ones and the newer figures

Is the one at the bottom an Agustinia, and if so, what company is it from? Also, the tail of the one in the bottom right reminds me of the Brontosaurus or the Shunosaurus by Gregory S. Paul.
