Does anyone have the new Safari Feathered Tyrannosaurus and the Safari Yutryannus? I'm thinking of picking up both of these at some point, and I'm curious as to how they look together.

I received the Safari feathered Tyrannosaurus today, and already have the Yutyrannus. I'll make pictures for you tomorrow. :)

Do you have also the Sauropelta? if the answer is yes, can you post some pictures also with it?

Thanks

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

So, except the Deinotherium, they're roughly in scale one with each other. Didn't count Paraceratherium, Kelenken and the mammoth cause I don't like them. Would be interesting to see a trick like this with Rebors. And maybe with Papos too, since they're all out of scale.

...just for fun, that's how Collecta megafauna should be (at the right scale):   ;)

..instead of:

:)

great job with the lineup! Im saving it and a lot of the other scale pics for reference.  ;)

if you have the spare time(a lot of spare time) you should try making some more scale lineups with other figure lines.

Halichoeres

Robin, thanks for putting together that scale image; that's great work!

Nobody got Collecta Gastonia, Safari Sauropelta and Papo Ankylosaurus to show?  ::)
I have the Gastonia and Sauropelta--I could take a picture of them if 2/3 is sufficient. I had the Papo Anky but sold it a while back.

In the meantime, I think you also asked for some Papo, CollectA, and Safari ceratopsians. I took this photo months ago, hope it helps:

Thank you Halichoeres!

Yes, Gastonia and Sauropelta together would be fine. In place of the Ankylosaurus you can put in one of the two Papo ceratopsians above, just to give me an idea of the size.

Here you go!

As you can see, the Yutyrannus is rather small compared to the Tyrannosaurus, but they're both great figures that'll look good in any collection.

I already had Collecta pictures with alpha channel (the Photoshop transparent mask around figures).
So it was quite easy to put them together in the right scale.
Papo has a lot of figures and I should mask all of them manually in Photoshop, one by one... too much time, sorry...  :-\

What I can do is giving to you the scale of each figure:

Standing Rex 1:40
Running Rex 1:40
Baryonyx  1:20
Allosaurus 1:40
Carnotaurus 1:40
Velociraptor (the JP one..  ;) ) 1:10
Spinosaurus 1:50
Oviraptor 1:12
Dimetrodon 1:18
Dilophosaurus 1:26
Triceratops  1:40
Styracosaurus 1:30
Pachyrhinosaurus 1:45
Ankylosaurus 1:55
Parasaurolophus 1:45
Brachiosaurus 1:45
Stegosaurus 1:38
Apatosaurus 1:48
Pachycephalosaurus 1:40
Archeaopteryx 1:5
Baby Triceratops 1:35
Tupuxuara 1:35
Baby Rex 1:40
Pteranodon 1:40
Plesiosaurus 1:10
Tylosaurus 1:60
Smilodon 1:16
Standing Mammoth & Calfs 1:28
Woolly Rhino 1:20

Dodo, Cavemen, Running Mammoth, Feathered Velociraptor, Kaprosuchus not measured yet..

Although the naked face of the Yutyrannus suddenly became too apparent in those pictures.

Thank you Nanuqsaurus. Those do look great next to one another. They also have the same type of "spiky" for lack of a better term, head and neck feathers. Similar beige color for the scaly bits too (and the red-pink color on the skull ridges for both of them). Kind of subtly brings about how they are related. I really want to pick these two up now when I have the money to do so.

I noticed the subtle similarities too when I made these pictures! Don't know if it's intentional, but it does look pretty cool.

That naked face is just distracting.
That's why I've always hesitated on buying the yutyrannus.

Apatosaurus 1:48

Is that the scale for an adult Apatosaurus or a juvenile one?

The Apatosaurus was 24mt long. The figure is 50cm.
1:48 is for an adult one.

Thank you! I always presumed it was much smaller than that, so I never considered buying it. Might just pretend it´s a slightly below average sized Apatosaurus louisae in 1:40.

The visible length of the figure is 42cm  because tail and neck are bended.
I used a flexible tape to measure the Papo Apatosaurus and the real length is 50cm.

And I think someone asked for this one:

The Giganotosaurus is a lot narrower than the rex. I wish the Safari Carcharodontosaurus were to scale with these two beauties.

Safari clearly paid attention to Scott Hartman's work!

Thank you again Halichoeres!

That Gastonia is a very tiny figure, but with a pretty fine detail nonetheless.
