Oh my excitement for a Schliech product...who would have predicted that for 2017?

look at the lower right hand corner

they are reminiscent of Schleich's figures made between the mid 90s and mid 00s.

Yes, looks like that.

So, for the second half we got so far:
-Large Ceratosaurus skull with Raptor repaint and Compy repaint
-Kentrosaurus repaint
-Mystery Dinosaur

What is the big new retool raptor?

The big one is just prop.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

It looks like there might be some new figures behind the recoloured Kentrosaurus, in that photo with the volcano playset?

It doesn't even have sickle claws.  And its head is hideous.  This prop is the most disgusting thing I've seen Schleich make.

I guess Schleich didn't exactly have a huge budget for their display booth.

Actually that is not the problem.

The prop is an enlarged and recolored version of this:
So no surprise here.

The figures behind the Kentrosaurus are the Feathered Raptors.

Oh, I think you're right CityRaptor, about those figures behind the Kentrosaurus.  That green thing Schleich calls Velociraptor actually does have sickle claws, they're just against the ground.  The claws of the second toes of the prop are just like the other 'normal' toes of the foot though, it doesn't have sickle claws at all.  Schleich's smallest "Velociraptor" figure has this problem too:

My bet for the mysterious figure is that it's a Suchomimus, though it doesn't look promising at all. Hopefully not an Acrocanthosaurus, cause in such case we wouldn't even need to see the full figure to say that it's awful.

On the other hand the Kentrosaurus repaint is intriguing, the colour pattern seems just slightly different, but improved nonetheless. If the paint app on the head is also improved I might decide to get it, eventually.

A bit disappointed the rumoured Plesiosaurus isn't there, we can still expect more new stuff or what is shown on this toy fair is supposed to be the complete line for 2017?

ED said that Two new figures are left to be revealed this year. Obviously one of them is in the image, unless there counting the Kentrosaurus

From what I can make out of the new Kentrosaurus it looks like some retooling went on. The foot position is a bit different than on the current version, the head seems to be facing forward and the tail is not as curved.
Am I seeing it right?

I noticed some differences too, doesn't look exactly like the one I have.

Regardless of the audience that these figures are aimed at (children's audience) I believe that there may still be hope for Schleich. Every year I have it, so you can find some pleasant surprise. Let us give them a margin of confidence, as the saying "of illusion also lives" or says "hope is the last thing that is lost". Same figure is good, but does not appear to be with the naked eye, I hope I'm wrong.

I would not be surprised if they made a new Schleich kentrosaurus or a new version in another posture. In fact it must be recognized that this figure has been a complete success even among collectors like me. Admittedly, the few surprisingly few figures made by this brand in terms of dinosaurs and extinct animals.

BlueKrono

I don't think it'll be a "good" figure based on most people's criteria on here - an outdated Tripodocus for 2017, woohoo! But I'll still get it if it's any kind of low-spined theropod, Acrocanthosaurus or Suchomimus.

i have lost hope for this company in terms of prehistoric animal figures (their extant animal figures are still acceptable). if they produce one or two moderately good figures once in a while then fine (and good for us).

From what we can see of those two brown theropods in the lower right-hand corner, I think it's a safe bet that they are Acrocanthosaurus. The tall neural spines are very apparent to me. I'm not expecting any sort of scientific accuracy, but if it's at least better than the terrible new Allosaurus I may get it. The 3/4 of this figure we can see looks like a classic Schleich figure from the early 2000s, so it might at least fit in with those in my collection.

The truth is that this figure does not seem to look good (I mean the acrocanthosaurus Schleich) but I mean that you have to keep the hope that maybe make a plesiosaurus moderately decent as happened with the kentrosaurus, or at least one figure this year Inside the second batch of Schleich dinosaurs something good, such as could be the pentaceratops, yes with all the defects that had, but that was not great.

I do not lose hope but we must think for example in Mojo that nobody gave anything for that company and within this year made an allosaurus within what is moderately decent because of the photographs circulating in the network.

That yes Schleich is more focused to a merely childlike public (children from four to six years) and its dinosaur figures are merely entertainment rather than educational for those who like dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. Like Bullyland they make comic figures and pretty good movies and fantasy figures which is what they sell the most.

sauroid

in Mojo's case, i think there's a genuine effort to really improve their prehistoric figures. in Schleich's case, they just dont care bec. at the end of the day, their fanatics will still buy all their products and make a lot of profit, whether it's pure c***, and that's all that matters to them.

Sorry, but this is certainly not a repaint, but a new sculpt.

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.
