It looks like three of my predictions for 2018 were right

Though i was hopeing that the velociraptor they release was the same one from there Raptor Three pack.

I Screen capped them because LOrd knows it will be a matter of time beefore they realize someone leaked them again.

The T. rex and the Carnotaurus are improvements over the previous versions, but that's setting the bar pretty low. And oh joy, another barely feathered raptor. What's the matter, Schleich? Full plumage isn't AWESOMEBRO for you?

I'd describe them as a huge improvement, but only in sculpting quality, the designs are still terrible.

Very strange Schleich release these models too soon. Probably are for the 2018 line up. The Carnotaurus and Velociraptor look much better. Tyrannosaurus looks better in the sculpt but reminds me to a more gracile species like Albertosaurus. Looking in the product page that Cityraptor sent, looks like Schleich retired the grey-brown velociraptor from 2012 and styracosaurus. With these new version its probably they will retire the green velociraptor, carnotaurus and the 2 rexes. Probably for 2018 we will have cretaceous fauna with new models...probably styracosaurus, triceratops, saichania and parasaurolophus

I think I know why these are being showed off now on there Website.

I do not think there leaks anymore.   But legitimate releases from the company as Special Editions just like the Stegosaurus was last year.

Shonisaurus

I guess from what is commented that it is an advance of the new Schleich 2018 figures for the beginning of that year. The said are designed for the Christmas campaign.

I ask myself if even Schleich improves ... How will the new figures of other companies be next year? It will be extra-spherical.  ;D

Winter releases? Probably I think some of the January releases were showed the last summer

It's ridiculous how the new T. rex's head is waaaaaay more shrink-wrapped than its predecessors'. It looks like it stepped out of an Ely Kish painting from the early 1980s'.

Why do they still make dinosaurs? :)

Because they are the most capitalistic company in this hobby.

The Tyrannosaur looks like a proper step away from JP versions. Not enough but certainly it's heading a better direction.

AcroSauroTaurus

I think that is the best T. rex they've made so far, and the Carno isn't bad either... except, where have I seen it before...
I am the Dinosaur King!

Faelrin

Schleich shamelessly copying other people's art for their figures yet again I see. Although then again, Papo does the same thing. Aside from that, I don't see much wrong with the Carno figure aside from those huge overlapping scales and the oversized dewclaws on the feet. Though I wonder if they did the head skinny enough. Probably not. I wonder if it will have an articulated jaw like most of their other theropod figures.

I can't say I'm interested in the others except maybe the Kentrosaurus from this year. The new rex and raptor are still too ugly for me (they can't even do a proper raptor foot, seriously?), even if they are slightly improved over the previous sculpts.

that Carnotaurus' grampa falsies teeth... just awful.

The Tyrannosaurus is an improvement over their last one since (FINALLY) is not a JP copy, but it still need to improve to become a good Tyrannosaurus rex figure. The detail on it is nice and seem that the feet are not as oversized as previous attempts.

On the one hand, the proportion of the new Carno are better than the old one, but on the other, that scaly-armored look that it has, apart from being a copy of that image some post above, gives me goosebumps in an unpleasant way.

As for the Velociraptor, it is just terrible....

Not interested in any of them. :P

Minmiminime

No claws on the fingers of the Carnotaurus! It looks like they may have actually got this often overlooked detail right somehow :o I guess it has to happen as a matter of sheer fluke on occasion..!

I like the pterosaur nest. Cool diorama decor.

Bucklander

With his enormous feet and out of this world face paint, the Carno strikes me as an early 70s glam rocker - maybe a long lost member of KISS or Gary Glitter's mascot, forgotten in some little town, as the tour bus drove away!

I agree but this carnotaurus is less bad than the previous ones.

At least that seems at first glance. As for the velociraptor certainly is not graceful but the tyrannosaurus is the best dinosaurs made within the philosophy of Schleich so far.

However it is too early to judge the figures, they are only promotional figures. As I said something has improved and that is a lot for Schleich.

Silvanusaurus

It pains me to say that the rex almost looks 'good', at least when compared to other Schleichs. The Carnotaurus looks like a rejected creature design from the Star Wars prequels, and not in a good way. Why is the tail on that thing strangely giger-esque? The anatomy of the 'Velociraptor' appears to be constructed entirely of sand and discarded shreds of old vegetable matter.
