Oh man if I can get some money soon, I so want to order that. I just don't know how the shipping will be since I'm in the US. Might go and pick up a Thylacoleo and the Thylacine from Southlands Replicas on that site too if and when I do though.

7 to 10 inch models seem to be the most popular size but I think it is good to keep an open mind on different sizes. Imagine how boring it would be if all models were the same size. The size is what helps to give your models personality. Collecta Psitacosaurus wouldn't even be half as cute if it was just the standard 8 inches. Safari Diplodacus would loose the majestic sauropod look if they decided to just leave it at 10 inches. I also like size contrast too for display purposes. T Rex looks allot better when it is towering over a smaller model like collecta Struthimimus.

Most ceratopsians were not that big. The Regaliceratops is actually the same scale as the deluxe T Rex which is 1:41. I appreciate that collecta is trying to make their models to scale but the trade off is that some of them will be excessively small or excessively big.
I am unsure I agree with you on this point, I would love someone to bring to market an eight inch or even slightly larger psittacosaurus. I have one from a secondary brand in England and it is a rather neat model. Also you could compare to Definitely dinosaurs, or even the Carnegie model which were done at a larger scale. They are all "cute" as they are despite being larger.....Doug Watson raised the bar for psittacosaur models with his last attempt...but I would love to see one come out with that level of accuracy, detail and yet also incorporate a larger scale. I believe the general body plan of this dinosaur lends itself to flattering sculpts.....so the larger the better for me. And to be fair I have the Collecta piece, as well as more scare ones like the Capcom and Starlux, and find them all amusing to some degree
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen

I think David Silva is planning on having a Psittacosaurus in 1/6 scale (same scale as the current raptor action figures series) for his Beasts of the Mesozoic ceratopsian series, which would put it around 12 inches or so (I'm guessing). It would be an action figure though. Here's some concept art of it (along with some others): https://scontent.fagc1-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t31.0-8/17218283_1678181645530367_7064704988206835473_o.jpg?oh=ae9d43e04dbe1f892ecc08bdfdd38ed6&oe=59D1FB43

Even if it is $10 or so for shipping, that should be doable for me. I just have to wait until I have enough money now. Would be my first time ordering from them too, if I do.

From what I see will be represented in the different companies of dinosaur toys and resin models of all species of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals (in this case turanoceratops and gracilliceratops).

For me it is great as it has been pointed out on other occasions it is the golden century of dinosaur and prehistoric animals both collection (resin) and toy in the most varied trends (articulated toys, PVC and vinyl toys and toys Cloth among others).

And to think that in the seventies and eighties the children and young people of my generation who were interested in these figures took us for weird people or crazy! In my case I, among other people, I have been a visionary and forerunner in relation to toys and models of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals without knowing it.

They aren't sculpted yet (he's still working on the Xenoceratops), but I know they should be "released" for one of the BotM ceratopsian series kickstarters (either next year's or the year after). I'm very excited for the Protoceratops (would be good to have one to pair with the Velociraptors I ordered from last year's campaign), and the Psittacosaurus of those, since I am the most familiar with those two of the six there, and those are just the "little" ones. The bigger ones like Triceratops and Styracosaurus (and the Xenoceratops mentioned earlier) will be in 1/18th scale.

I know from this post that the Centrosaurines are intended to be for the first ceratopsian series kickstarter: https://www.facebook.com/BeastSculptKit/photos/a.125819777433236.23596.113487525333128/1695409053807626/?type=3&theater

The post that came with the image I linked to earlier, mentions that it's likely the 1/6 ceratopsian figures would be with the Centrosaurine kickstarter: https://www.facebook.com/BeastSculptKit/photos/a.125819777433236.23596.113487525333128/1678181645530367/?type=3&theater

To get more on topic, I'm actually thinking of picking up CollectA's Regaliceratops from this year, aside from that Prehistoric Marine Life tube, while I wait for the BotM one. I like this year's Styracosaurus as well, though I'm kind of hoping CollectA will have a smaller version of this year's Styracosaurus to fit better with their smaller ceratopsian models at some point.

Blade-of-the-Moon

ceratopsian

Blade-of-the-Moon

bit smaller than i had expected but very nicely sculpted.

ceratopsian

Me too.  I thought it would come higher up the Guidraco - that's a good comparison shot.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Thanks, I knew it would be longer but it seemed like it would be about the height of the Gui's mid neck? Does that make sense? It is great though and I think  a little cheaper than the Guidraco as well?

ceratopsian

Yes, that makes sense. I guess I didn't take into account that the Dimorphodon is a much more long and low sort of shape. I don't know how prices will work out here, as Everything Dinosaur is still waiting for stock. Soon though!

Shonisaurus

I say that I hope that this beauty will soon arrive in Europe and in particular in my shop of all life.

On the other hand I congratulate Blade-of-the-Moon for these beautiful photos.  :P ^-^

Yes it is, the head is about the same size though , ditto on the body..i guess it shows just how different they are.  I can't wait for the next introduction in this Supreme range.   I ordered from Minizoo,  the Guidraco  is 27.44 and the Dimorphodon is 22.82. those are in USD.  (I think with shipping two were about 66.00 and took a week or so to get here by DHL for those wondering) Dejankins here had to raise his costs a bit due to importing them,  the Gui is about 33.00  so the Dimorphodon i'm guessing will be about 27-28.00?  It all sort of equals out currently. lol

I did place one on a tree for the park here, i've heard folks already asking where it is, others saying it's camouflaged, it's literally about 2' from it's information sign. lol but it's painted so well it blends right in.
