Ah it looks much better now. I was actually debating on whether i should gloss up mine on the sails since i am nearly done with it. Sadly I realised that my biggest weakness is the material and size used for Lucio not being very good at painting easily. The sails in particular are very hard with how ridgity they are.
Awesome work the darker green gives the model more depth
Thank you.
I didn't have the courage to deviate too much from the original paint scheme.
Actually, I was not a fan on the gloss finish on the sails, that's why I went with a flat finish.

KeU

The rest are done as well.

First up is Wilson.
No more demon eyes.

Added some brown around the eyes to tone down the black as well.

Lucas is done as well.

He is more orangey now.
And darker wash on his belly.

Repainted his eyes, so that they are slightly larger and more defined.
The original eye color was too similar to the orange used on his head, making them blend in with the rest of the colors.
The orange on the head is given a dark wash and flat finish.
Crests on the head got some yellow highlighting as well.

Here's how the 3 look together now.

And here's a metaphor of me walking away from painting for now.

I will probably work on the bases next time around.

Syndicate Bias

Calculated but very good. How did you do the eyes? I have trouble doing them to the point where I simply refuse to do them if they are already painted.

Thank you.
I normally start off by painting the base color of the eye.
No worries if the paint goes over the edges, I will simply touch up with the required color.
The iris and pupil are painted on using a toothpick.
And finally, a touch of gloss clear coat.

Halichoeres

Wilson definitely looks better with some reasonable peepers. I like the support twigs, too :)
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Thanks.
Without drilling into the legs to add a metal support, the 'walking sticks' are my best solution.

Bokisaurus

Good job on those. Did you make the eyes on Luca bigger?

For some reason, they did not paint the eyes fully, at least not til the edges of the sculpt.
I just painted it in.
The yellow does make it stand out more too.

KeU

New eyes!

Lucas has sort of binocular vision.

Shonisaurus

I congratulate you, those bright eyes in both figures give an image of greater fierceness and in a way they instill terror with that repainting in the eyes they give the giganotosaurus and tyrannosaurus an image in a certain way a more evil image of those two theropods.

Thank you Shoni.
I can confirm they did instill terror in me while painting them.
I lost count how many times I had to restart because of mistakes by me.
Making sure both eyes are aligned and not wonky eyed was a challenge too.
But I am very happy with the results.
A marked improvement over my previous attempt.
It doesn't show up well in the photos.
But Wilson has green / yellow in his eyes while Lucas is blue / white.

Look what came in the mail today!

Quick box size comparison.

Out the box.

First impressions, it is good sized for 1/35.
Good weight too.
Feels like solid plastic. Doesn't feel like the legs are resin.
Figure stands solidly without the base. Nice and sturdy.

Paint application is great. Looks really close to the prototype.
Except that the red, it is darker on the actual figure.

Base is plain but has good details and paint app.

Bad eye looks good, and gloss on the scar too.

Good eye is crisp and sharp.
Skull shape is close to the old elongated skull restoration.

Details in the mouth are nice too.
Glossy wet look.
Last view of the Tyrannosaurus before it died in DC2.
Size comparison to the PNSO Tyrannosaurus and Giganotosaurus.

If only Lucas had that stable pose, he would have display so well with Wilson.
And the big head too.
Giga Gang!

Loon

Ugh, every time I see the Vitae Giganotosaurus, I think about how much I want one. It looks so good. Does yours lean at all?

Not at all.
But I am cheating.
I do not have it out for display, is pretty much living in its box.
No space for it right now.

Syndicate Bias

Mine hasn't even shipped yet -_-

Very nicely done I do like your take on the review of it. A shame I don't have mine yer but it is definitely one of the best Gigas out there right now besides most very likely the Nanmu one coming soon.

Thank you so much for this pics KeU !
Nice front view as well, and he does have a good size compare to his friends here.

Mine should be shipped soon along with the Nanmu Ceratosaurus

And by the way the new eyes for you Rex and Giga look great.
So much more contrast, and nice different shades.
Each time I receive a new figure, I always check it carefully and correct any paint flaw or damage with paint application.
But I would not dare changing details as important as eyes, even if I wanted to.
You definitely improved them over the originals.

Over9K

Does the W-Dragon Giganotosaurus give any indication at all of the inner skeleton, like being heavier, or noticeably stiffer in the legs?

Syndicate Bias

Also very nicely done with the eyes. I see you change them at times I am curious if you'll ever delve in repainting the whole figure eventually or just stick with the eyes?

It will show up soon.
By the looks of it, the Nanmu Giga will really be a behemoth.

From what I can tell, the legs feel the same as the rest of the body.
It does feel noticeably more stable compared to PNSO figures.

Repainting the eyes were nerve wrecking.
I lost count how many times I messed up and had to clean off the paint and start over.

I didn't do a drastic repaint before. Just touch ups to make them look better.
And of course dry brushing and washes.
