Film companies have been known to intentionally leak their own trailers to build hype. It wouldn't surprise me if Universal did indeed do so.

DinoToyForum

Yep, that looks official!

Based on this, I'm willing to give the film a chance!

Patrx

I'll definitely be in the theater opening day, JP T-shirt and all. There are still some aspects of the story that have me worried, but the park itself looks astounding and I think they'll have achieved a level of grandeur that the previous sequels have failed to convey.

fabricious

I must admit: this got me freaking excited!

Doug Watson

Not crazy about the genetically engineered dinosaur but the rest looks great and I'll be there. At least I didn't see tentacles, only extra fingers with Nosferatu claws.

fabricious

The mosasaur is a bit big, no? But other than that... can't wait!

I'm going to be honest - this trailer made my heart flutter. I'm still wary, for I've been tricked by trailers before, but I'm more hopeful now than I was prior to seeing it.

The trailer has actually warmed me to the idea of a spliced dinosaur. If they discuss this as part of the movie - the moral implications and so on - then it could work really well. Something like the round table scene in the first film. Maybe. We will see!

The trailer also makes it clear that the Velociraptors are 'good guys', which seems silly on the face of it, but again, I've been warmed to that idea as well. That last cut scene - awesome!

There are plenty of homages to the first film too. Anyone notice the flare?

Seeing the park up and functioning brought a happy tear to my eye.  :'(

sauroid

i felt like a 6 year old about to pee my pants with excitement (ok i was just exaggerating) but this looks awesome!
"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

fabricious

I have to agree, the initial thought of the whole hybrid thing turned me down quite a bit, but the trailer made up for it entirely. The raptor scene also made me really curious to see how that will turn out. I never thought I'd be THIS excited to see an action movie any time soon!

Manatee

Well, that's EPIC! Even the giganto-mosasaur can be excused, as their genetic engineering and modification easily could have made it that large. Seriously, all these cutscenes got me so freaking excited for the movie; seeing the (now open!) gate open was awesome, it really gave me chills!

And, Dr. Admin, I did notice the flare. How about the jungle river from the book? How about the jumping from the waterfall, also from the book?

DinoLord

Upon second viewing I did notice some more references to the novel such as the river ride. It seems they're paying a lot of homage to the original books and films which I like.

Looks like the trailer's out a little early. From Jurassic Park's official Facebook page.

Thank you. This is much more enjoyable. Now I die to see the movie.
Sobreviviendo a la extinción!!!

JW this is a bad movie, Jurassic Park was a film about animals , not monsters, yes they was  not accurate, but it's an old movie,I think JW has little to do with JP :-X

I have mixed feeling about that plot point too, but I feel like it's too early to judge or form opinions.

"Jurassic Park" was not about animals. It was about what can happen when humans mess with nature, they just used dinosaurs as a vehicle for the issue. And because dinosaurs sell of course. But just watch the concerns voiced about cloning during the "round table" scene again, or better yet, read the book. Genetic engineering (and especially cloning) was a hot button issue of the time, in fact...it still is. Only now people are concerned with GMOs or Genetically Modified Organisms. You can go into a pet store these days and buy fish spliced with jellyfish so that they'll glow. They market and sell these fish as "Glofish". Now you have "Jurassic World" coming out and it is covering those same issues pertinent to today's society, just as the original did. "Jurassic World" is the obvious progression of the film. If a place like "Jurassic Park" did exist, you bet your butt they would be looking into this same technology. Especially once the thrill of seeing actual dinosaurs has waned and lets face it, in today's society, it would.

Personally, I'm excited. But I already was, I've always been optimistic about the film. It certainly looks better than any of the abysmal sequels we've gotten thus far.

stargatedalek

sorry to burst your bubble but "glowfish" are a fraud, they are created by dipping young fish (typically transparent morphs) into coloured dye
or at least this was the case a few years ago, perhaps people really have managed to do it by now in which case I apologize

the way I see it the dinosaurs were already mutants, so I'm glad to see this being embraced

Aram-Rex

I hope we see a D-Rex and T-Rex battle in this film. Don't want to get too excited but I'm hopefull.

DinoLord

GloFish are transgenic zebra danios that have been around since 2001 (though I think they've now done the same process on some other fish species). But I am really interested in how the mutant dinosaur is going to play into the plot. It has a lot of potential to be either very good or very poorly done.
