Whoah. Turns out the trailer is a hoax. It's from a cancelled video game with the same title.

Nope. Its a legit pitch trailer dating back to at least early 2014. Made by an outside studio to pitch JP4 story idea to Universal. Story has seen major changes since then, and this was never meant for the publics eye.
Sooooo....is it going to be called Jurassic World or not? I'm confused :-[

The name and the logo are official for certain, but the video seems to be questionable.

I'm sincerely hoping that this isn't the real pitch - it just seems too much like something on SyFy.

Blade-of-the-Moon

I wonder if Universal saw it and bought it out.. lol

Cool stuff.

I thought the video looked pretty good actually.

With a title like "Jurassic World" , this movie could be set far in the future. With humans exploring a distant planet for colonization. But the planet turns out to be filled with dinosaurs...

It has happened a lot.

Okay it happened already... But maybe this time it'll be good ! ;)

Takama

Dinosaurs in space sounds silly. if there's dinosaurs up here, they most likely not look like the ones on earth.

Turok 2008 almost does them right, except for its Paras and Trex.

Even if there were dinosaur-like animals on another planet they wouldn't be dinosaurs. The term dinosaurs is reserved for a group of earthling animals that would be more closely related to a tulip than anything found off world. Unless of course there is an alternate version of earth...who knows.

Blade-of-the-Moon

I think those films can be admired for their art in stop motion already if nothing else.

Dinosaurs in space have been tackled by many a sci-fi author..usually aliens moved them to other worlds for many odd reasons..saving a species that was doomed to extinction, food, hunting, ect..

At least in the case of "Planet of Dinosaurs". "Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet" was pretty awful, even the effects. But "Planet of Dinosaurs" was actually my favorite dinosaur movie pre- Jurassic Park.

Too true. The work of Czerkas in that film was spectacular..I have to say it's also one of only two dinosaur-related films that scared me when I was younger.  The T-Rex actually felt like a villain and you never knew when he was going to strike..almost like he was hunting down the people on purpose sometimes.

We here the movie has now been named "Jurassic World" global premier scheduled for June 12th 2015 or thereabouts.

His work was spectacular, really the only good thing about that movie. Not that I don't love the movie for its cheese factor as well.

What was the other dinosaur movie?

By any chance, did you get the press release from Universal? If so, did they send the logo/key art? It seems all the sites that uploaded it shrunk and compressed it to hell. I would love to see a higher res version.
