Mini Minmi

Aww schucks! I was really hoping we'd finally solve this mystery. The plot thickens...

I forgot, which t.rex had that accessory and was it supposed to be released?

For some reason I expect the mysterious object will turn out to be something quite boring in the end compared to the mystery of not knowing.  :P

Just an observation regarding this, (I'm not entirely sure why I didn't mention this earlier, since it's something I thought since I picked up my own articulated Indoraptor) I have to say, I absolutely love the plastic Mattel used for their Jurassic World line. It has an almost fiberglass look to it, which I think is gorgeous. It's almost a shame that the only figures I like enough to buy are the Indoraptors, the Dimorphodon, and a couple of the minis. The others don't fit into my collection enough to justify the space they take up, and I'm not keen on buying figures that immediately go into storage.

I think it was the chompin rex? part of the destruct-a-saurs line, which if i remember correctly got canceled when toys r us went out of business, but i've heard other stores may still carry them.

The multi-pack contains what I believe are the same types of figures sold in the 3-packs, except many of these I have yet to see in the 3-packs.

Correction on myself; looking at figures on shelves again, I realized the 15-pack set I have contains entirely unique sculpts from the other mini-fig sets, although I believe the scale is the same.
Speaking of on shelves, I'm now seeing legacy series mini-fig boxed packs at Target. There are two sets, 5 figures in each, with the same figures as the 3-packs, albeit with different color schemes and minus the Indominus. This is the first I've seen of the mini Ankylosaurus, Parasaurolophus and Brachiosaurus, and stygimoloch is replaced by Pachycephalosaurus.

That looks so much better and more in line with the other figures like the Baryonyx, etc. The original blue tongue is more film accurate though (haven't seen the film yet, since its not released in the US until next week, so I'm going off how it looks in the trailers).

Ugh, I got so excited thinking it was some new figure on display at sdcc.

Does anyone know when Suchomimus and the others are released?

So out of curiosity, I checked brickseek, and both Walmart and Target have Wave 2 figures in the system. Although nothing in stock yet. It might be safe to say these will be released in another week or couple? The Spinosaurus is $25 as well in case anyone is curious.

Edit: I found this Attack Pack Herrerasaurus review. Looks like Wave 2 figures have already been releasing in some places.

Time is of the Essence

Target had the Rip Run Dino green Velociraptor. Is that from Wave 2?

Question:
Do you think there is going to be replenishment of some wave 1 toys when the films hit USA or when Wave 2 is officially available? I'm asking this because certain figures are increasing in price and decreasing in stock, for example the Ellie Sattler from the legacy collection is sold on amazon for ridiculous prices and there are not much units left.
Right now my focus is on the dinosaurs so I don't think I will be buying the legacy collection human figures soon, but they are still in my list, but I do not want to sell an organ to buy them.
It sucks when exclusive lines are not sold in your country. Always having to pay more for things that are not as expensive as you buy them. :(

My walmarts have tons of some figures and less of others, I think it's popularity really, there seems to be a fair stock at each store.  Legacy Ellie is a different story...she was short packed from the start.

Are any of these figures going to be highly sought in the aftermarket so that we may engage in preemptive measures?

I remember the Allosaurus and the Pachyrhinosaurus value increased exponentially from the previous line. I totally missed out. I really liked the Allo. I don't feel too bad about not picking up the Pachy because there will be another one by Mattel as well as Creative Beast.

It's a pretty good sculpt and a prime candidate for commission repaints. I didn't realize that their crests were so prominent. It almost reminds me of the Dilo/Cryolo/Mono

Ohhh, that Photoshop correction is nice. Looks much better. Unfortunatley I personally don't like the toothline and the overall headshape of the Mattel Allosaurus. It looks awkwardly off in my opinion.

I did a GIF for direct Comparison:

So this destructasaur has been always like this since it was posted?

Man I hope the destructasaurs see the light of the day, because this set is just too cool.

If you whip out an exacto and lop off those last three teeth in the upper jaw it really looks much better too.

Dilopho

Huh, that IS cool.

This looks really good. I like the articulation in the wings.
