Yes! 😁 I would love to see them do all of those models too, avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus ! I highly recommend the Palaeoloxodon

Really stoked to order this one, I guess from these posts that they are beginning to get out to the marketplace, You Tuber Matthew the Dinosaur King just posted an unboxing with this figure being one of those to emerge onto his review table. Not available to order here as yet, so no news there then - we seem to be at the end of the supply chain as far as distribution goes - geography sucks when you are a collector being able to see what other collectors are picking up elsewhere in the world. Patience eh, I'm sure it will be more than well worth the wait!

My Palaeoloxodon arrived yesterday from Everything Dinosaur.  Here's a shot of it with the Steppe Mammmoth.  I'm going to post more photos in my collection thread.

Edit: I thought the tusk and trunk protective piece of plastic was such a good idea. It held them completely firm from crush injuries in transit so no warping.

Simon

Monstrous.  ;D

Mine's in the mail, so you beat me to posting the first pictures.  :-\

I'll pose it next to some familiar dinosaur figures for contrast when I get it ...  ;)

The texturing on that one is gorgeous. Looks like it would have the leather-y feel of the actual skin, save for the slight hint of gloss.

Can't wait to see what else they will release!
I am hoping for a theropod, but you'll have to excuse my cliche for this moment.

I still have to get those figures, they're gorgeous. Probably ordering both as soon as the Palaeoloxodon is available from Dejankins and that would be the end of my purchases until next year's wave of figures.

OK.  Just got my Paleoloxodon from Everything Dinosaur. "As advertised".  Magnificent.  Scale seems to be towards the large 1/40 more than 1/30 (translation: it fit VERY WELL with my other 1/40 pre-mammal figures).

As I suspected, it "leans to the right" and actually tipped over as the room got hot today (103F outside).  I've propped the front foot and now it stands straight. I'll build a little base with putty later for it. No biggie there.  The PVC is a bit soft in the legs.

The palaeoloxodon antiquus of Eofauna is superdetail and is a figure that looks like resin for its perfect shapes and details. Could be an exhibition figure in a fossil museum.

He is a great figure and I can affirm that I am very happy with his figure. Yesterday I received it around 11:00 in the morning and I can assure you that I am surprised by its level of perfection, it is superior to its mammoth trogontherii and for me it is one of the best figures of prehistoric animals of 2018  :)

I've got some more comparison shots with the Steppe:

These figures are downright sublime. If all Eofauna's genera end up this good-looking, I'm not sure I can take it.  :))

My Paleoloxodon has some balancing issues, too, but they're not that bad at the moment; it seems to depend as much on how level my surface is as much as how heavy the figure is.

Jose S.M.

Both figures they have delivered are stunning, I can't wait to see what's next, I don't mind if they don't produce figures as fast as the more established brands if theirs are this good.

I always find it odd when figures that look fairly stable (e.g. Paleoloxodon, Mattel's Ceratosaurus, REBOR's Acro) end up being unevenly distributed in real life.

The Paleoloxodon's legs are pretty soft vinyl, so if they set just a little off the mould angle during curing the figure will be at hazard of toppling over when it gets hot.  I've got a couple of cloth strips under the rear right and front left feet and it stands perfectly straight.

In the Fall when I have time I'll build a little base and then he'll stand straight for good ...

Its a pretty minor problem with a million simple solutions ... the figure is just lovely ...

Ugh, those are too beautiful! I appreciate these personal photos: the cranium of the Paleoloxodon looks less weird and... balloony(?) than in the promotional photos.

Shonisaurus

The two prehistoric elephants palaeoloxodon antiquus and mammoth trogontherii are two museum pieces. I hope that Eofauna will start making dinosaurs if they are as bright or more than the ones in Asier Larramendi's book, Eofauna will be (in fact it already is) a tough competitor with respect to the rest of toy dinosaur companies.

It is good that paleoilustrators of pictorial works of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals such as Eofauna are involved in the noble mission of making dinosaurs and prehistoric toy animals one hundred percent scientists.

Good news - Dean lists it in stock right now.

Oh my, I honestly hope it's something different than the 1000th reincarnation of those sucked dry vanilla theropods. We got very fine models of those and bucket loads full..... but I am still waiting for the definite Allosaurus (Safari's 2019 doesn't convince me really) and there's a lot of weird abelisaurids next to mean ol' Carnotaurus that would deserve some attention. Luckily the feet don't spoil much, so there's hope for me :D

Andreioli

Nah, Eofauna is too cool for boring old T. Rex.

I'm calling it right now: 1:35 Charcarodontosaurus !  ;D

If I were to make an educated guess...

It's a Kelenken.
