Avant-garde could be a proper adjective for this line, if they keep doing unusual species like Palaeoloxodon.

As we already said, at this moment we will focus on famous and obscure species.

This is intriguing...

I wonder if it refers to "famous and dark" as a whole or rather to "famous" (for example tyrannosaurus, triceratops, apatosaurus) and "dark" (to dinosaurs and prehistoric animals unpublished in the toy market.

Famous and dark = Indoraptor

I must correct you, Indoraptor is rather infamous and dark.

Shonisaurus

Indoraptor is a dinosaur in any case fantastic as the vastatosaurus or the indomimus rex. Although I would not dislike that a company made such figures.

Halichoeres

Shonisaurus, you might like to know that the Spanish word oscuro can have multiple translations in English. "Dark" usually refers to color in this context (de color oscuro), but I think the context you mean is little-known or hidden (desconocido). The English word most appropriate for this context is "obscure." :)

Many thanks for the clarification Halichoeres then from now on when I refer to rare dinosaurs will be called obscure or unknown in the market.  :)

Latest news from Eofauna:

Next week their figures will be commercialized. I just asked the company and they replied that the goods are in customs and at least in the shop where they buy this figure (palaeoloxodon antiquus) in www.urzeitshop.de will be available from the end of next week. I pass the question of mine and the response of the company. I hope this helps DTF members interested in that prehistoric animal.

My question:

Buenos dias:

It is to ask when the palaeoloxodon antiquuus of Eofauna will be commercialized. I bought it and booked it months ago at the store www.urzeitshop.de and I'm still waiting for it.

On the other hand I contacted you in the forum and they told me that this figure would be available at the end of June, and June is already ending. I would ask you to contact me. My first name in dinotoyblog.com/forum is Shonisaurus and I am an enthusiast of his figures. With my best wishes, receive,

Sincerely

for me
Hi Shonisaurus,

Very nice to heard from you. The goods arrived at Barcelona's seaport 7 days ago (600 km far away from our headquarters) but several procedures and procedures have to be done before we could get them.

The importer told us that next twesday we will be able to get all the elephants. So we estimate that the elephants will be available by the end of the next week at Urzeitshop.

Please understand.

Best!

Eofauna

Palaoeloxodon antiquus is falling as I have already expressed. It's another good news.

Mine will be sent out tomorrow - with a few friends!

Minmiminime

Mine too 😁 Albeit, sadly without any friends because I'm really having to pace myself. I came so close to the CollectA Mantellisaurus...

Thanks for sharing this good piece of news :)  Looking forward to their next reveal.

Shonisaurus

I already bought it and ordered in March of this year in urzeitshop.de and must be about to send me this figure. It is one of my most awaited figures because the palaeoloxodon antiquus is a figure never seen in the toy market, at least in my collection, and honestly this Eofauna company is going to be one of my favorites.

Eofauna is guaranteed my vote for the palaeoloxodon antiquus as one of the ten best figures of the year 2018.

Minmiminime

Well, my Palaeoloxodon arrived from ED today, and he's delightful 😁 Beautifully posed, detailed and sculpted, he's honestly one of the most gorgeous and realistic depictions of an extinct animal I've ever seen. The paint is generally excellent, though the eyes are clearly hand painted and so are a little imprecise, but that's forgivable. The seams are generally very well blended and invisible, though there is a slight ridge over the cranium, but these really are very minor niggles that honestly don't detract from the model overall. He's a beaut, perfectly captured in that he looks like he's been modelled from life, and a bargain for the level of detail. I really hope they do some other prehistoric mammals. I would love a Paraceratherium!

Paraceratherium is one of my favorite prehistoric mammals together with elasmotherium, uintatherium, platybelodon, megacerops, teleoceras and embolotherium.
