JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION

Considering they ignored Horner regarding the Stygimoloch, if not anything else, and how abysmal that Sinoceratops turned out, I'm not getting my hopes up for any accurate animals at this point. I also sincerely hope they don't just slap feathers on some animal and call it a day, particularly on a dromaeosaurid (like giving it secondary feathers but not primary feathers attached to the second digit).

To be fair I can think of at least as many things they shouldn't have listened to Horner about. He's the one who made them do the Brachiosaurus nostrils on top of the head for example, and had actively requested they be shown in swamps instead of on land.

JURASSIC WORLD 3---Chris Pratt compared the upcoming sequel to AVENGERS: ENDGAME, "It's got everybody. It's got pretty much everybody in it. Maybe I just blew it, but I don't care. All the cast from the original JURASSIC PARK is coming back. It's going to feel very much like how ENDGAME brought everything together for Marvel."

This video by Klayton Fioriti seems to validate my line of thinking, that Brusatte's involvement could indicate more accurate dinosaurs.

I strongly feel that the "middle-ground" half-feathered dromaeosaurs like the ones he's using in this video would be a bad move. A lot of early feathered dinosaur art looks that way, and the look is so ugly that I think it's part of why so many people still hate the idea of feathered dinosaurs altogether. Wrist-wings, feather mohawks, short feather-pelts, etc. should all remain in the past. Go full bird or go full retro, I say.

Of course, that's just the dromaeosaurs. I don't think proper ceratopsid feet or horizontal stegosaur thagomizers are going to alienate anybody.

CityRaptor

Yes, a lot of the feather hate probably stems from bad reconstructions. And of course this stereotype:
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GoofyFeatheredDinosaur
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

I agree, if there is a subplot to this movie involving accurate dinosaurs than go all or nothing on the feathers. I don't want to see one of these...

Cripes, that particular offender was being circulated for a long time, too. Hideous. Actually, the only "partly-feathered" style dromaeosaur I ever really liked was the totally bizarre one from Primeval, the one with hollow, rattling quills along its back. That gets points for being pretty creative and memorable. Still, I'd like to be able to hold Jurassic to higher standard than Primeval, even though I'm pretty sure that ship has sailed.

Faelrin

Yeah I really don't want to see one of those done. I agree that they should go all the way or don't bother.

I don't know if that's a good thing. It worked for Endgame, but that's just because of the structure the MCU has. Star Wars tried to wrap up all the previous movies too in The Rise of Skywalker, and that wasn't great. Maybe they'll suddenly bring Dennis Nedry back to life again with no explanation as the big bad villain for Jurassic World 3! :P

CityRaptor

"Somehow... Dennis Nedry has returned."

Yeah, unlikely. Although Lego Jurassic World: Legends of Isla Nublar has his nephew, Danny Niedermeyer. The Topps comics also had Muldoon suriving, with barely a scratch, while Ludlow returned in the IDW "Jurassic Park Redemption" comics, looking like this:

Funnily enough that is the best likeness anyone in that terrible comic has to their movie counterpart.

Possible plot summary for JW3, was apparently up on an official Universal site then was taken down really quick.

Well that Summary isn't exactly building any hype for me, but books and their covers and all that.

I can picture the trailer now....

Owen and Claire look over the melted ruins of the original Jurassic Park, while Ian Malcolm narrates, "Extinction isn't always forever". The screen turns black and Dennis Nedry's wheezy laugh is heard.

Update: I'm sorry.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Saw some additional info for a possible villain character, a "dinosaur hunter " of course.  Sounds very TLW.

Dinoxels

It sounds like a weird kids show, well, we will haft to see.
Most (if not all) Rebor figures are mid

JURASSIC WORLD 3---Joseph Mazello, who co-starred in the original JURASSIC PARK, tweeted a hint that he might be returning for the latest sequel, "I think it's time to get back to work. What do you say gang?"

Barely related, but isn't that the 'raptor model from the Telltale game, not the original?

It's certainly not the original scene, what with those lockers in the background. Don't know where the raptor is from but it's not from the movie. Weird that someone would bother making this.

Here's the original.
