Okay, today I was bored out of my mind and decided to go through the sculpting phase things David has posted (which I've compiled here) and while looking at the second one I realized that there's some stuff that I never added to the document (which you can find linked on the first page).

I think the first time I was going through them I thought that the *'s next to their names mean that they were synonyms under the dinosaurs listed and that he wasn't going to include them, but after looking them up they don't seem to be so I added the following to the list ::):

*Pachyrhinosaurus perotorum
*Yehuecauhceratops
*Prenoceratops
*Magnirostris

That totals:
20 Centrosaurines
21 Chasmosaurines
11 Other misc ceratopsian dinosaurs

so 52 in total over the span of two Kickstarters (Assuming he makes all of the ones on my list)...

My poor wallet :'D

I hope the models/toys have the names embedded/etched somewhere. It would be hard to keep up with all those species!

LeapingLaelaps

So, apparently he mixed up the species and drew the Pachyrhinosaurus canadensis instead of lakustai, so here's the updated image!

Also, he confirmed he's going to aim for all three species:

"Actually Alex, yes I do have plans for three different types of Pachyrhinosaurus."

Yay!

How amazing would it be if he did (maybe as a Kickstarter exclusive) a Knight/Lost World version of Agathaumas sphenoceras? Just use a Styracosaurus head with tweaked spikes on a chasmosaurine body.

I think someone mentioned it before..but I would love a  retro figure of it.

I also posted once on his facebook, know his love of older toys he should make a Dino-Rider version of one of the dromeosaurs..now maybe with one of these too ?

Another new color scheme, this time for the Psittacosaurus! This guys colors are slightly inspired by the reconstruction by Bob Nicholls. Oh, and something from David's post:

"Also, I'll be making an announcement this weekend about my updated plans for the first Ceratopsians Kickstarter!"

I'm so excited to see what he announces! ;D

IrritatorRaji

That looks awesome! I'm honestly not too interested in Ceretopsians, but I'm really interested in this guy :D

Faelrin

To be honest I was expecting the color scheme from the specimen found, similar to what is on the Safari Ltd figure and the statue reconstruction. I see he opted for a bit more artistic freedom because the species is different. Not that it looks bad at all. Certainly looks a bit more natural I suppose then the green and pink of the Schleich figure. I'm sure it'll look much better on the actual sculpted figure too.

Psittacosaurus!! I hope this means he'll be producing this species early on 😊 I won't be able to resist this one if he does. I find the small ceratopsians more appealing than most of the large ones!

Smilodon P.

I thought it would be a figure based on the "mummy" and not a P. Mongoliensis. Anyway, I'll wait to see the final result before making any judgment.

When a little more exactly will be David's announcement?

His post says:

"Also, I'll be making an announcement this weekend about my updated plans for the first Ceratopsians Kickstarter!"

So hopefully tomorrow or the day after! ;D

LeapingLaelaps

Here's David's newest announcement from Facebook!

"Many people have been expressing interest in the upcoming Ceratopsian series and with that interest understandably comes plenty of questions. And while there are some questions that I can't answer just yet (such as pricing and launch date) below is the most up-to-date information on the next Kickstarter campaign. As many of you may remember, I had initially planned for a 2018 launch for the first Ceratopsian Kickstarter, however due to the time involved with overseeing production and fulfillment of the Raptor Series, I had to push the launch back to next year. There's a chance I could launch later this year, but I wouldn't be as prepared as I'd prefer and I think waiting until next year will greatly benefit everyone. So without further delay, here are the most current details on the Beasts of the Mesozoic: Ceratopsians Series 1!

-Estimated for a Spring 2019 launch
-The line will focus on 1/18th scale Centrosauruines as well as some 1/6th scale Protoceratopsians
-Campaign will begin with: Xenoceratops foremostensis , Pachyrhinosaurus lakustai , Centrosaurus apertus, Zuniceratops christopheri, and Styracosaurus albertensis,
-First three unlockables: Diabloceratops eatoni, Psittacosaurus mongoliensis, and Protoceratops andrewsi
-Package art will be done by Carlo Arellano and Jacqueline Jocson
-Price range is to-be-determined, but will be comparable to the Raptors series
-Due to the size and variety of the figures, bases will be omitted to help keep prices down
-27 planned species total- 22 will be unlockable stretch goals
-there will be no build-your-own sets, babies, or accessory packs for this campaign, but may be possibilities for later
-One 'bonus' item stretch goal- 'Velcoiraptor vs.Protoceratops' 2-pack
-Kickstarter exclusive will be 'Monoclonius crassus' (juvenile Centrosaurus) color homage to the Tyco Dino Riders toy

Expect to see the first package art unveil by Carlo Arellano and Jacqueline Jocson this coming week, as well as more photos of the painted Xenoceratops prototype!"

I'm honestly glad it's going to be a while before the kickstarter, this gives people plenty of time to start saving up for their favorite figurines! ;D

After the awesome success of the raptor kickstarter, I'm confident that we can reach all of the stretch goals!

Faelrin

I had a feeling it would launch next year instead. I'm kind of glad though since it means I don't have to worry about spending money on those till next year and I can keep focusing on collecting Mattel's JW stuff for now. As of now (unless those first three stretch goals are unlocked), the one I want the most will have to be the Styracosaurus. Of course I also want the Diabloceratops, and definitely the Protoceratops to go with my Velociraptor(s). If everything goes like the previous Kickstarter, then no doubt I'll have plenty of time to add on or purchase any others I want.

Gives me a chance to sort out more storage space 😈 My 'raptors currently spend a lot of time sitting on the coffee table, watching the World Cup, having totally exceeded the capacity of my display cabinet

Halichoeres

A little bummed there won't be accessory packs. The delay also means I'll probably pledge less, since it gives Safari and CollectA an extra year of new reveals, and if either does a nice version of, for example, Centrosaurus or Zuniceratops then I'm much less likely to want the BotM version.

As someone unfamiliar with kickstarters and how this process works...could someone explain please what it means the psittacosaurus will be an unlockable? I am surprised if that means the figure may not be produced as it is one of the most popular and well known of the more basal members of the family and shares so little with the more derived species that followed it.
Does it mean if enough of the model is ordered it will be made, or is the unlock triggered through purchasing other models.....honestly this is one of perhaps six I would even consider from the set.
