For what it's worth, I do think Battat's dinosaurs are pretty overrated. I love the T.rex and Diplodocus figures, but I can take or leave the rest of the line.

I made the banner and I can say that it being there at the left side doesn't have anything to do with it being the best T.rex ever, it's there because of the angle it was photographed in favored the idea I was looking for when I made the banner. I agree that the Battat is better. Could use a better paint job though. Anyway, back to topic, I agree with you in one thing, it needs a review.

Yes,I knew you made the banner,and congrats btw.I really like it.I know just becausemit's appearing the 1st one it doesn't mean it's the best T.rex.I was just saying it's my personal favorite and that it easily supers other (and great)Tyrannosaurus figures.

I was just sayin' it's my personal favorite,and it easily wins other (and great) Tyrannosaurus figure (e.g Papo's ).

Really? There are a few I'm not overly fond of, like the Stegosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus and Ceratosaurus but aside from the Tyrannosaurus and Diplodocus I think some of the others like the Triceratops, Parasaurolophus, Maiasaurus and Styracosaurus are all very good.

I agree that they're good figures, but given that they're so rare these days, and command such crazy prices, means I'm not particularly compelled to seek them out.

It is, I just wasn't paying much attention. I see what you're saying and I'm in the same boat. If I can find them for cheap I'll snatch them up but I'm not willing to pay big money for any of them.

Even a child would know that they're supposed to only have 4!

I'm actually not to keen on most of Battat's figures, myself. Some of them are pretty good, especially the diplodocus which I think is the best one, but generally I think they're overrated and I don't like a lot of the sculpts or paint jobs. There's something about a lot of them that just seems really 'messy' looking and toy-like to me. And what is it with that terrible stegosaurus? Why would they make such a mistake as adding 8 spikes? Even a child would know that they're supposed to only have 4!

It goes back to Marsh who originally described S. armatus as having eight spikes on its thagomizer.
