That's a neat find! I'm going to be adding that to my Amazon wish list.
One of the (few) results Amazon brings up lists the item brand as "Flormoon". I don't know if it's legit, but that name does bring up an assortment of extant/extinct animal figures (many of which do appear to be bootlegs), so maybe Flormoon is the mystery manufacturer after all?

On that subject,  https://www.amazon.com/stores/page/532B1BEF-0025-41A0-94DB-26A9C4A83541

It's certainly an interesting revelation to find possibly the manufacturer of these bootleg figures

Flormoon is just one of many "brands" that specializes in knock off, these companies all distribute many of the same copied models but all under different names so you will see the same figures under various names.

Rebor Ekrixinatosaurus: https://dinotoyblog.com/2021/12/11/ekrixinatosaurus-rebor/

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres Out of all people, I certainly wasn't expecting you'd tackle a review of a Rebor figure, but the result is nothing short of a masterpiece. However, I was so conflicted that I couldn't rate the review on the blog. When it comes to the actual model, I would give it 1 star, but on the other hand, if we're evaluating the review itself, then 5 stars wouldn't even be enough. Great job!  ;D

Votes should be on the figure being reviewed, not the review itself.

Its a dilemma that one must consider for sure😃
For me personally, my rating is greatly influenced by also how much I enjoyed or learned something from the reviews itself.

I don't see it as a dilemma, in fact, I think it's fairly obvious that the rating system exists so that readers of the review can rate the figure for themselves. But since that's not a rule (seems like a given though) then I suppose people can use that feature for whatever means they wish. It kind of baffles me that people would even think that the rating system is there for the review and not for the product being reviewed :P

I would like to point out that the Ekrixinatosaurus review has 41 votes that give it a 2.5 star rating. Since the review has been well received by readers I think it's quite clear that those votes are for the figure, not the review.

Thank you! For what it's worth, I myself rated it 1 star. I've always viewed it as avatar_Gwangi @Gwangi suggests, that the ratings are for the figure and not the review. I've sometimes thought that there should also be a separate rating for the review itself, but I think it would lead to both confusion and hurt feelings. And anyway, that's what the comments are for.

Agreed. I think it's quite likely you can also find these sold under the name "Oenux" or "Mofun" or any of a dozen dubious merchants of knockoff merchandise. The Amazon page linked above included some Recur figures, even.

Toymany is another knockoff brand I've come across. It's quite a convoluted situation

Someone needs to come up with a list of all the 5 star figures, but i imagine that would be very hard

B @Bokisaurus My congratulations for your review, it is fantastic, inadvertently even with your excellent comments on the figures apart from the photographic contribution it makes you the best propagandist of the figures of dinosaurs and other prehistoric toy animals, in this case PNSO, thanks to you I made purchases of dinosaurs just by looking at your reviews in this endearing comment thread on toy dinosaurs. The orotitan is great. I hope that shop.modellpferdeversand.de will market it soon to be able to buy this figure.

We all like a roaring, blazing fire at this time of year, so how about a roaring, blazing T.Rex, thanks to Sega's Dinosaur King!

Don't feed the Duck Bread though

Thanks everyone for the continued amazing content. I love reading the reviews so much. For me, written reviews are so much preferred over video reviews. From Yowie to PNSO, each and every one is a delight.

Well done for getting to that joke first! Glad we can oblige you, plenty more to come!

I wish I could have done more myself this year, but things have been rough. In any case it's been a blast reading all those that did pop up over the year. Lots of really interesting things were reviewed, new and old.
