brontosauruschuck

This is quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever spent money on.

Faelrin

B @brontosauruschuck Is that a stapler? I had no idea there was anything like that out there, lol.

Yeah. It's a staple remover. I saw it on someone's desk the other day and I just had to have it.

Wandering

I was very happy to see that this classic Safari figure arrived today!  https://imgur.com/a/2fAIKUI :))  I remember wanting this model as a kid but never getting it.... the package is a bit scuffed but I don't mind, I wasn't planning on displaying it in box but I realized it still has never been open! so now I'm hesitant...  :-X

PrimevalRaptor

Picked up my first Safari Ltd figure in years (I think the last I got were in 2013), the Nasutoceratops! From all the images this was always one of my favorite Safari models and my favorite ceratopsian of the line and after I heard it got retired I HAD to pick it up finally!
Doug Watson really knocked it out of the park with this one, the model is SO great to look at and so detailed, even better in person! For something this cheap, this is absolutely incredible. :D

Shonisaurus

My congratulations B @brontosauruschuck for your original stapler.

avatar_PrimevalRaptor @PrimevalRaptor I'm so glad you picked up that nasutoceratops from Safari. The Safari ceraptides made by Doug are of outstanding quality and apart from everything they are, as you comment quite cheaply for the high quality they have.

Ikessauro

I just manage to get some free time to photograph my most recent acquisitions. The complete (as far as I can tell) Planeta de Agostini Dinosaur collection, from Argentina. Close ups of each figure will follow soon, with a better clean background.

Sauropodomorphs

Tyreophorans

Marginocephalians

Ornithopods

Theropods

Shonisaurus

It is a larger collection than Salvat once made in terms of the number of prehistoric animals. Ceraptoside with a long gola seems to me to be a chasmosaurus whose figure is quite acceptable. My congratulations Ikessauro !!!

Faelrin

I have some more special arrivals that came yesterday. The Kaiyodo Acanthostega and Ichthyostega. Got them both off ebay from the same seller that also has a website called King Crab Collectible's. I'm definitely going to be keeping my eye on them in the future for other figures I might want. These are actually my first Kaiyodo figures, and I'll be honest both of these were smaller then I was expecting, and I was expecting them small to begin with, but then again they are capsule figures so this isn't too surprising. I'm honestly so glad Kaiyodo has made so many of my favorite (and probably obscure) Paleozoic animals. I hope companies like Safari Ltd and CollectA can give us more Paleozoic animals. CollectA is at least on a roll as of late, with doing it 3 years straight now (and 4 if counting the Prehistoric Marine tube/box's inclusions).

Anyways I am so so happy to have both of these little guys in my collection after wanting them for several years straight now.

Here they are with the book I just recently got, which focuses on Ichthyotsega and other early tetrapods and tetrapod evolution:

Here they are with the illustration of Ichthyostega (which is what inspired my love for this animal in the first place):

Here they are next to the rest of the things I own that are based off of something from the Devonian period (a bag which I got off kickstarter a couple years ago which features Ichthyostega and some of my other favorite Paleozoic animals, the Safari Ltd Prehistoric Shark Toob Cladoselache along side the other book in the series I have, next to an illustration of the same animal, and the Paleozoic Pals Tiktaalik plushie). I really need to get around to getting some Dunkleosteus representation (outside of books, and the bag here) as it is one of my other favorite Devonian animals (and probably the most famous and represented of them).

Here they are with Mattel's Battle Damage Blue, Owen, and the mini metallic Blue figures (and the things seen before) for some size comparisons:

avatar_Georassic @Georassic Once again, thanks for sharing the link to the Ichthyostega listing in that other thread.

avatar_Ikessauro @Ikessauro What a good haul there. I really like the displays you have there too, including the ones in the background.

Thanks avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin. By the way, those amphibians are little gems for sure, congrats on the acquisition. The book is cool too, I'll look into it, might get it for myself.

Shonisaurus

Congratulations Faelrin for your new acquisitions of Kaiyodo Acanthostega and Ichthyostega I sincerely agree with you that they should brands like Safari and Collecta should make more Paleozoic figures.

On the other hand, the prehistoric amphibian book is great. I'm glad you got those little treasures.

Faelrin

Thanks folks. Glad I could share these together for anyone interested.

avatar_Ikessauro @Ikessauro If you need help searching for it, or any of the others like it let me know. When I get home I can share the link I had bookmarked for any of the books.

Some new JW stuff at last:

Avian

#1274
Good to be back after so long!!! I have gotten a few new figures since my last post:

2. Schleich Dinogorgon
3. CollectA Borealopelta
4. Safari Carnotaurus

I will post pictures in my collection thread soon.

avatar_Roselaar @Roselaar I congratulate you on your two new acquisitions of theropods the JW giganotosaurus the other theropod is a miniature next to that great giganotosaurus.

avatar_Avian @MammothProductions I'm glad you bought the Safari dimetrodon and the carnotaurus of the same brand from my point of view of the best thing that has been done in the toy market. Collecta borealopelta is a hundred percent scientific figure when its remains have super-precise paleontological revelations compared to almost all species of extinct dinosaurs. On the other hand, the Schleich dinogorgon is a great figure and what I wish is that Schleich takes again that brilliant philosophy of elaboration of figures of miniatures of prehistoric animals that by far are the best figures made in more than thirty years by Schleich. My congratulations!

Mellow Stego

Got my package from Everything Dinosaur today!

Keep calm and love dinosaurs

Shonisaurus

avatar_Mellow Stego @Mellow Stego I congratulate you on your good taste. Eofauna's giganotosaurus and Safari's edmontosaurus are one of the best dinosaur figures of the moment and it's not a compliment, it's reality.

On the other hand, the Collecta dinosaur miniatures are very well made.

Mellow Stego

Thank you avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus!
And you're right about those Collecta miniatures being well made for their size and price.
The Leopleurodon Has a surprisingly great paint job in fact.
Keep calm and love dinosaurs

Avian

The PNSO Eurhinosaurus is a great pick too. I have been meaning to purchase it for some time. From what I've seen, it's a very well painted and sculpted figure. Congrats!
