Not as fine a classic figure as the Battat Diplodocus, but I like my W-Dragon Tyrannosaurus rex very much.

Very nice pictures  8)
Congrats  :)

Shonisaurus

Nice photo the W-Dragon tyrannosaurus is of the same quality as the best resin figures. I extend it to the rest of the figures of the W-Dragon brand, with the difference that the price is much more affordable. A great brand that competes in excellence, with the best collecting brands from China and the world.

Great acquisations everyone!

My haul is a bit less impressive:
Favorite Archaeopteryx & a National Geographic special issue that collects various of their articles about Dinosaurs.

Jurassic World Minmi & Keychain

Only paid 4 Euros for Minmi and 1 for the keychain. Yeah, Minmi's card is not in the best condition, but I plan to open her anyways.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Well my Amber Collection figures came today. I'll have more pics in the Mattel JW 2019 thread, and a longer write up. Also one of the raptors is for my pal in Guatemala that I deal with on instagram (who also helped me get the Battle Damage Plesiosaurus).

Huh, I somehow missed this thread.

Well I got these 2 weeks ago:, first time handling Kenner stuff.

Nice acquisition! Do you mind telling how much is the Velociraptor and how did you get it? So far I've heard only GameStop is selling it, but I'm not sure why the website doesn't work for me. Gives me an access denied message.

Oh, that's some interesting variant there. Normally the body should not be complety that color, only the belly. You might also check the battery compartment.

I think it's just really bad case of yellowing, the toy is old.
And yeah when I got home I opened the battery compartment up and thankfully the guy who sold them to me removed the batteries beforehand. I don't have any batteries of this kind on hand but considering its age it probably isn't functioning anyway.

Yeah, I guess it could be a case of yellowing, too. Mine isn't affected so far.

Definitely discoloration. Has happened to mine as well. And they weren't even exposed to sunlight...  :(

avatar_Ikessauro @Ikessauro I ordered it from Gamestop's website a few days ago. The raptor was $30, Malcolm was $20, though I ordered the bundle with them.

I got a 404 on the previous link (looks like they changed the name too, instead of Amber Collection it is now Amber line, which may be a result of them changing their website recently). Try this link for the raptor instead? https://www.gamestop.com/toys-collectibles/collectibles/figures/products/jurassic-world-amber-line-velociraptor-figure/11051846.html

And this link for Malcolm: https://www.gamestop.com/toys-collectibles/collectibles/figures/products/jurassic-world-amber-line-dr.-ian-malcolm-figure/11051841.html

Here's the link to the bundle: https://www.gamestop.com/toys-collectibles/collectibles/figures/products/jurassic-world-amber-line-6.5-inch-figure-bundle---sdcc-2019/B198989A.html

Well, according to TFWiki:
"There is no hard and fast way to determine which individual figures will be more susceptible to it. A Jetfire opened once, then left in a closet for 20 years seems just as likely to be affected as one left sitting on a shelf for the same amount of time. Furthermore, different pieces of identically-colored plastic on the same toy can photodegrade differently, resulting in a Nightbeat with a normally colored canopy and discolored legs. Even more significantly, areas covered by decals are usually unaffected by the process.

Photodegradation is not to be confused with cigarette smoke residue, which also leaves a yellowish cast on plastic (and can be removed with toothpaste or other products designed to remove cigarette stains) or sun damage, a bleaching effect caused by exposure to direct sunlight (which more commonly affects packaging materials). "

Thanks avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin Although I'm still out of luck. The error continues happening and says "You don't have permission to access "link" in this server. Anyways, thanks for the reply!

Faelrin

avatar_Ikessauro @Ikessauro My only other suggestion would be to go to a Gamestop store in person (assuming you have any nearby), and see if they could place the order for you.

Brontozaurus

I've started making a habit of checking out TK Maxx for Battats, and I was rewarded today with the Tyrannosaurus! For $13 this figure is amazing and easily my favourite tyrannosaur in my collection.

Now my Battat collection is up to five (two rereleases and three new). I'll be moving house soon and I plan to make a little display for them, and revitalise my rather neglected collection thread...

You lucky (expletive)!

What I wouldn't give to see one of those on a shelf in front of me. Why the (another expletive) should a new-release figure be so hard to get hold of???!!
