You can make good collector items, or pointlessly ugly ones. I think those golden rexes fall in the second category.

Others have done likewise: Invicta, for example, back in the day. There's a market for golden dinos, apparently, however strange it might seem.

I think it's more the appeal of collecting something that's limited edition, less so the fact that the dinosaur is gold. People might be into that sorta stuff just so they can resell it for more later.

Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

If i discover the Images of these figures.   Do you advise that I keep them secret?    I personally dont give a Rats Rear if it gets under there skin as a Company.  Safari has shown better relations with there Fans then Schleich ever will IMHO.

But if you dont think I should share them. then I wont.

Is this to imply that you have found images of these figures?

Not yet.   But a website is slowly leaking out the 2019 models, They started with the Farm life, then the Fantasy. Its only a matter of time that they Leak the Dinosaurs. (Unless Schleich Busts them)

avatar_IrritatorRaji @IrritatorRaji Unless I'm mistaken, I think the website Takama mentioned is the same one I mentioned in my post. Until we get confirmation on our forum's policy of Schleich image use, is it alright I PM you the link?

Takama, is the website you're talking about, by default, in Dutch?

Sure, share them if you have them.

By the way I'm interested in the golden Tyrannosaurus of Schlech I hope that the animal companies online shop.modellpferdeversand.de facebook or the company urzeitshop.de sell them although Miron told me that in urzeitshop they were not going to market that figure unfortunately.

By the way I have high hopes with Schleich's company I hope the animantarx and spinosaurus and giganotosaurus as well as the dimorphodon planned this year are spectacular figures. I would like there to be an improvement in terms of their figures from last year. That would mean that the Schleich brand is approaching the toy brands of the other major dinosaur companies. I have faith that they can make spectacular figures, valid for collectors and not only for children.

We have praiseworthy examples of Schleich with triceratops, oviraptor, adult and juvenile tyrannosaurus, dinogorgon and psittacosaurus.

Hopefully this isn't the whole 2019 lineup. If it is, it's very uninspired. I'm super worried about the Animantarx - even though 2018 was a huge improvement in terms of species diversity and overall sculpt quality & accuracy, better does not mean good, and I don't want Animantarx to go the way of last year's Tawa & Dinogorgon and have a middling, cartoonish offering as its only toyline representation. Schleich's ankylosaurs have been some of their best work in the past - the old Replicasaurus Edmontonia was a knockout - but like most of their recent work, has gone downhill since the discontinuity of the Replicasaurus line.

I'm really not holding much hope for any of them honestly. I'd like to be surprised though.

DragonRider02

I wish Schleich realesed indyvidually their "Macaw" Archaeopteryx. I really want it, but I can't afford any of the sets it comes with, they're too expensive.

New Animantarx?

EDIT: I believe this is indeed the upcoming Animantarx because when you come across it on Google Images it is listed as a Schleich product

Interestingly enough, when you click on the link:
(Original site is in German, translated via Google into English)

Assuming this site (which does sell Schleich products) posted the 2019 images too early and had to delete them.

When I saw the name Animantarx, I though: Oh, that must be some kind of pre-mesozoic reptile/amphibian/synapsid. Then I googled the name and to my surprise it actually is a Nodosaurid!

The figure looks ok, but honestly, Animantarx is such and obscure genus that it makes me lose interest in the figure, if it was a more recognizable nodosaurid like Edmontonia, or even Nodosaurus itself, then I would probably be more interested.
