I tried to edit the names of the Bullyland and CollectA models labeled as Pteranodon sternbergi and change them to Geosternbergia, but the site won't even let me suggest it.

On another note, I have realized that many if not all of the models of members from the family Ceratopsidae aren't grouped as such, rather, they are classified according to their subfamilies (Chasmosaurinae and Centrosaurinae). I noticed it because ceratopsids are easily the most represented family in my collection, but in the section "Most of your prehistoric figures...belong to X family" they aren't there because of this classification. If I'm not wrong they are the only group that are classified according to subfamilies. Why?

avatar_Concavenator @Concavenator The suggestion feature is not yet finished. I didn't even know you could send in suggestions but it explains the filled SQL table  :o Once it is finished I am going to announce it besides all the other changes.
Regarding the families: the database is not a wikipedia for phylogeny. In the beginning of the site we needed to make desicsions on how to fit all the animals in a system without getting messy. Here's a picture:

It's obvious we go for Family not Subfamily so.... you are right. I think we can change this :-D I don't know what past-Stefan did there. Give me some minutes to fix this ;-)
There will be also changes regarding the species and locations etc. But it all needs time :)

QuoteAnd finally, I wanted to suggest if would it be possible to add more than one collection to the site. Imagine you have your main collection where your favorite figures or whatever are on display, and you have other figures in storage. It might come handy to some people being able to have several collections on the site where everything isn't mixed together. Though it goes without saying that I have no idea if this is possible or if it would be a lot of work. Just my 2 cents.

I heared that suggestion before and I put it on my list since it seems to be popular. But this is not priority #1 right now.

I would imagine the Shere  umber of Ceratopsids, coupled with the distinct lineages of Chasmosaurine and Centrosaurine, means they might as well be, I think the Hadrosaurid subfamilies of Saurolophinae and Lambeosaurinae should be done the same way.
I think will use family instead of subfamily to keep it clear for the moment (as mentioned above).

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin
I changed the limit of the height and width field for now and wanted to state, that we will change to numbers only in future. This way we can have cm and convert it to inch if someone need it and does this in his/her settings. By the way: I don't like the imperial system - it's confusing and makes no sense. It's hard to calculate with this.
I can't add the opportunity to manually add a new Group right now. You need to do this by importing an excel file at the moment or using the edit button for administrators I will give you soon.

EDIT: avatar_Concavenator @Concavenator we now have Ceratopsidae!

Concavenator

Thank you for the change, avatar_DinoToyCollector @DinoToyCollector. Not only makes it more sense to group creatures by families, it's also more convenient, rather than going with subfamilies.

Concavenator

Figures that I think could be added:

-Papo's 2022 Mosasaurus, Styracosaurus and Protoceratops

-CollectA Edmontosaurus

-Dino Hazard Carcharodontosaurus

-There's a new line named Ancestors, by a store called The Guanlong Store. If you search for Paleofiguras, you'll know what I mean. They have released a Mosasaurus beaugei and have also announced they will release an Edmontosaurus annectens for next year, of which they have already showed a render.

Thanks everyone for maintaining the site up to date!

PD. I have noticed how the "News" section features a video from Andy's channel from almost a year ago. Even if it's a drag to keep that section up to date at least I think linking one of those news videos would be welcome, since a lot has happened ever since. Or perhaps wait for the next news video of his. (To be honest I'm saying this because the green monster figure on the miniature just creeps me to death).

avatar_Concavenator @Concavenator I was planning on adding those sometime later today (well the Papo and CollectA). Could you give me a link regarding the others? I'm not familiar with them (well I know about the Dino Hazard line, but is the Carcharodontosaurus a kit or figure? I haven't been keeping up with it) and will need more info before I add them.

Edit: Of course unless someone gets to it before me, that is.

Thank you avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin !

Here you can learn more about the Ancestors line:

https://www.facebook.com/THEGUANLONGSTORE/

Onto the Dino Hazard Carcharodontosaurus, I believe it's also a figure, same as the Irritator. It's also 1:20 scale.

Faelrin

I added the Papo figures. Don't have the codes for those yet, and since the image system is tied to those, I can't add the images for them yet. Just a matter of time once they are up on Papo's website (unless some other site lists them already).

I took a look at the Ancestors stuff, but I'm going to hold off until we see final product images and it goes up for pre-order. It does look like the Mosasaurus is finished but I'm not sure if that is ready to order yet? Is FB also the only site they are selling these on? I'll try to do more digging on the Dino-Hazard Carcharodontosaurus.

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin Thanks for adding them. Regarding the Ancestors line, I merely know of their existence and have seen pics of the figures. There's even a review of the Mosasaurus on their Facebook page. But I don't know more details about where are they sold and so on, sorry.

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin If you want to, you can add a placeholder product number. In most cases I simply use the species name for this (Papo-Protoceratops.jpg would be the image name). This will be changed in the future with the suggestion feature almost done. The complicated part here is the admin panel to approve the suggestions but it already works good :) Registered Users should be able to suggest changes and new figures. Will be interesting to see what happens.

I added the product numbers according to this link https://www.spielzeug-guenstig.de/Papo-Dinosaurier.html#Seite-2

Can confirm it works fine. I have suggested a change (well, three actually) already. I guess you should be able to see what it is.

Is there any possibility of letting registered users create new entries for the site as well? What about "suggestions for new entries"? I ask because sometimes I (or anyone else) feel like I can be annoying when I ask you or avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin to add new models.

Faelrin

Minor updates today, but I added the PNSO Iguanodon, and images for both it and the new PNSO Triceratops.

I also added an image for the BotM Qianzhousaurus, which I realized I was behind on doing today.

avatar_DinoToyCollector @DinoToyCollector I'm also late in asking this, but could you update the image for the BotM Alectrosaurus please? Such as with this one now that the painted prototype is finally done?

Primeval12

Hey, can you add the Character Options Primeval figures to the site?

https://primeval.fandom.com/wiki/Character_Options

I own a lot of them and want to add them to my collection on the database.

Hi, I think we can complete about 98% of UKRD figures.  :)

I have the individual pictures of:

- 1991 Museum Line and 1991 Museum line "blue nails". In the web there are some pictures of both collections and I think they should be considered different versions. They were posterior versions (though they share the same mold as some Papos do) and they are painted in very different colours. I have pictures of all of them.
- 1992 Large Figures are complete in the web, but I do have pictures of them, too.
- 1992 Bendable Figures are listed as from 1993, but I'm not sure if this is correct, as all of them have stamped the year 1992. I have pictures of all except the pachy and the velociraptor/deinonychus.
- 1992 Skeletons are not listed, they were released with the 1992 Large Figures. There are 12 of them, I have pictures of 10. The species are the same as the Large Figures.
- 1992 Glow-in-the-dark skeletons, they are the same version but released later, about 1997 probably, after Jurassic Park 2 (but they have the 1992 stamp as they reused the mold). I think they should be considered a different line from the normal skeletons (as they are very different in material and colour). I have 9 of the 12.
- 1993 Medium figures are complete, but the dimetrodon picture in the web has a different colour (it looks repainted) of the original figure. I have a picture of the original figure.
- 1993 small figures are missing the small dimetrodon, they are 12.

Bendables:

Here you can read the year 1992.

Tell me who to send the individual pictures to (they are already resized and weight reduced).  :)

Faelrin

avatar_Duna @Duna You could email them to me if you would like. Just please give me info such as the year, species, product number, etc, if possible, since I'm not familiar with these figures.

Anyways wanted to let folks know I've added the new PNSO Styracosaurus, added the image for the BotM Suskityrannus, and have added images, and more entries for the Mattel 2021 Dino Escape stuff, such as the new Kentrosaurus, Pentaceratops, Shringasaurus, Tanystropheus, etc. Still working on it now. I also plan to add the 3 2022 Legacy Collection figures that were put up on the Smyths toys website as well.

Oh, thank you avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin I received a mail from avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres and I send the pictures to him.
I am putting a lot of information and pictures in the UKRD thread, too. Feel free to have a look, it's very complete now, and I'm adding some more. http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=9178.0

avatar_Duna @Duna Thanks for sharing that link. That should help me get up to speed on these.

avatar_DinoToyCollector @DinoToyCollector Found an issue. Went to add new lines for the Mattel stuff, and by clicking "Add Line", but it just brings up a pop up of the product add new page. I'd like to add some of the new Mattel Jurassic World Hammond Collection (Parasaurolophus and Baryonyx) and Jurassic World Dominion figures, with their respective new sub-lines.

The BotM Alectrosaurus still could use an image update as well.

Gothmog the Baryonyx

Could someone add the GR Toys Quetzalcoatlus, at least the painted version, if the plain one doesn't count, but since they're sold together it could be one listing for the 2?
Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, Archaeopteryx, Cetiosaurus, Compsognathus, Hadrosaurus, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Albertosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Stenonychosaurus, Deinonychus, Maiasaura, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Argentinosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Microraptor, Citipati, Mei, Tianyulong, Kulindadromeus, Zhenyuanlong, Yutyrannus, Borealopelta, Caihong

Faelrin

I'll do some digging on that and see about getting it added. I finally got around to adding the Safari Ltd Patagotitan and the PNSO Zhuchengtyrannus now.
