What a leak!

I admire that Gorgosaurus, the repaints are alright (kinda like the stegosaurus), nice that the brown running Rex is not the same, like that super rare one, and the Pentaceratops has a very awkward pose... probably good for dioramas tho ;D :o

If those are all the models, I would be very disappointed, but hopefully there will be more ^-^

Also, thats a very nice Alligator, I will probably get that!

Hopefully this week, but I think maybe next one...

Well, code number 55077 is still missing, so...

I'm hoping for a Maiasaura.

The Gorgosaurus looks nice although it's pretty obvious where the inspiration came from.

I'm pretty sure that the sculpt details of the Pentaceratops will be stunning, and I also like the color scheme (which strongly resembles the Sideshow Triceratops),

but I have mixed feelings about the overall pose  :-\

Honestly, the Papo 2019 dinosaur release is not bad. It is not as good as I expected but it is not so bad either.

They have finally made a gorgosaurus! a member of the infamous tyrannosaurus rex family and I hope it is an acceptable size. It seems that they have read my messages or that of other forum members.

On the other hand they have made a pentaceratops (I would have preferred a torosaurus or a coahuilaceratops) but sincerely they have put it according to the philosophy of Papo in a rare posture in a ceraptoside, which does not stop being an original image. The pentaceratops tripod is great sincerely speaking.

The brown tyrannosaurus of Papo fortunately does not look like the limited edition figure that I bought for 100 euros from a member of the forum which I celebrate. I would have preferred a new sculpture.

The same can be said of the allosaurus of Papo 2019 is sincerely almost identical to the one we knew, but I do not blame it on the Papo brand. If they sell a lot of these figures, it is logical that they reprint them with another layer of paint.

Papo 2019's repainted stegosaurus seems to have been repainted with the same painting technique (outstanding where it exists) that Martin Garratt, the painting of the stegosaurus seen for the first time seems to be traced from the masterpieces of that specialist in repainting and improving dinosaurs with his painting techniques among one of his remarkable facets.

Honestly what I would like to make a wish is that the gorgosaurus and pentaceratops of Safari 2019 have a fairly decent size. I need in my case a ceraptoside and above all an unusual or obscure tyrannosaurid of decent size as I would call it in my case, that is, of a large size (independently that I love miniatures of dinosaurs or prehistoric animals alike).

Honestly it has been a good year for Papo, but perhaps last year 2018 was something brighter sincerely speaking, although it is very fast to advance events when Papo's alignment with dinosaurs is not yet known. In my case I am satisfied with these new figures and I do not dispute Papo's philosophy at all even though the vast majority of his sculptures are based on pop art but I sincerely like them and would be a fake if I said otherwise. His works of work so well finished supply all his scientific inaccuracies.

Right now the first thing on my mind is the same thought that I had when I saw the Cryolophosaurus from 2017... Looks great but it's that pose possible for a ceratopsian? I'm no expert in anatomy and I've seen paleo art with poses like that but I don't know it it's accurate.

Too much repaints in my opinion. That lost a chance to update Allo and Stego.

DragonRider02

That Allo repaint looks really interesting, I can't wait for better photos of it!
But the rest is meh. Mostly repaints :( The Penta's pose looks weird... Nothing too interesting.

terrorchicken

oh Papo you and your wacky poses.  :P

I love the gorgo and I like the new repaints but I wish they had fixed the pronated hands on the allo. The brown running T-rex is still ugly.

finally they updated their hyena, and a new lioness, just in time for that Lion King "live action" remake eh?
that is a very fluffy/thick hyena too, I wonder if it could stand in for crocuta spelaea or pachycrocuta?

postsaurischian

Good for my purse. So far no Papos for me in 2019 (except for the Kingfisher).
I can't believe they even gave a ceratopsian a tripod pose :P ;D .

Minmiminime

I've just seen this on FB! Interesting Gorgosaurus and Pentaceratops. Haven't seen a ceratopsian in that pose before🤯😹 The Stegosaurus really suits that scheme, it looks great, but it doesn't fix the fact it's so very dated. I'm not remotely interested in the repaints

Not so bad. Finally can tick a brown Running Rex off the list. Stegosaurus and Allosaurus repaints are decent enough. Gorgosaurus is okay, though I would have preferred an original look rather than a copy of the WWD3D version. Pentaceratops is damn fine.

Bad image quality aside...none of these figures are really outstanding in my opinion, although that Gorgosaurus is definitely a nice addition to Papo's line (Finally another Tyrannosaurid other than T. Rex!) I feel like the weakest part of that figure is the boring paint job and doesn't stand out in that image, especially thanks to the similarly colored Tyrannosaurus. It's also worth mentioning that Gorgosaurus is similar to that of a particular Vivid WwD figure...

My opinions on the rest of the figures are as follows:
Stegosaurus repaint: Nice elaborate paint job, reminds me somewhat of the series one Favorite Co Stegosaurus.
Pentaceratops: Overall a nice figure except for the pose (literally the same reason I didn't get the Schleich one).
Running Tyrannosaurus 345th repaint: Looks good, Definitely nice that they didn't go with the exact same color scheme as they did with exclusive one, this one's a more reddish brown as opposed to the more earthy brown that the other has.
Allosaurus repaint: One of the more disappointing of the bunch, the color scheme is not that bad, all be it too elaborate for my taste personally.

Well, of course the a Gorgosaurus will look like a Gorgosaurus. WWD3D was probably the inspiration for them making one.

So anyone knows if the repaints will be additional color choices or replace the older versions? Numbers are different, but that is not always an indicator.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Papo's Carnotaurus is awful, the head is too thick, it does not look like the SS one but more like Schleich one.

About the reveals i only like the Gorgosaurus, clearly based on the WWD movie, but those arms are ugly as hell.

Glad to see a Gorgosaurus, but I'm not entirely keen on the big ol' Jurassic Park arms.

ITdactyl

Oh wow, Papo... really keeping the tradition of dynamic "reacting to something offscreen" poses.
