[UPDATE 9/7/20] As of now, this is just gonna be my art thread.

Inspired by the Mattel hopes and dreams thread, I decided to try my hand at what some species would look like in the Mattel Style.

I'm not an expert at digital art, and these are mostly just for fun. But, let me know what you guys think of them.

Troodon (Attack Pack)
Based on Jeannie from the JW live show.

Psittacosaurus (Attack Pack)
A mixture of the Pachycephalosaurus and Protoceratops figures, colors are based on one of the JP The Ride color schemes.

Utahraptor (Roarivore)
Based on a mix of the Mattel Raptors and Scott Hartman's updated skeletal. I made it a Roarivore to differentiate it from the other raptors. Unfortunately, it ended up looking too similar to them, should have added feathers.

Diabloceratops (Savage Strike)
Heavily based on the Styracosaurus, with a mix of every other large Ceratopsian in the line.

Baby Stegosaurus (Legacy Collection)
Based on the baby from The Lost World, with a smaller version of the gimmick from the Action Attack.

Baby Triceratops (Attack Pack)
JW style, with the colors of the original Roarivore Triceratops.

I currently have more in the works; but, with school and work, don't expect any sort of regular schedule. In the meantime, again, let me know what you think.

Shonisaurus

They are cool drawings remind me of works by Marvel (Disney) artists that I like the most is diabloceratops.

Ikessauro

Your concepts are quite good avatar_Loon @Loon
I would love that baby Stego!

Gwangi

These are fantastic, have you considered trying to share them with Mattel?

Killekor

I really like your concept arts, avatar_Loon @Loon ! They are amazing!

As Gwangi wrote, you could send those concept drawings to Mattel. It would be really great to see the figures you've drawn made!
I would probably get them all, or at least the Compy and the Psittacosaurus!

Killekor
Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

They're really nice. You captured Mattel's style very well.

MLMjp

Pretty good concepts!

Ah, I would love to see those baby dinosaurs, the juvenile T.rex could use some company!

Kotori_Sonoda

Wow, you nailed the mattel style. They look really cool!

Wow these look fantastic, and you certainly nailed the style. I certainly would love to see all those get made at some point too.

Thanks for the comments everyone! Unfortunately, I don't think Mattel would have any interest in these; they've got teams of artists who are much more talented than me.

Anyway, here's a new concept figure I made today:

Teratophoneus (Battle Damage)
I figured a regular sized battle damage figure would work for this elusive FK dino. The colors were a bit of a pain, I'm not big on how they turned out, honestly.

Also! I'm open for suggestions, any species you'd be interested in let me know. These are fun little projects and I really enjoy all the feedback.

Here's my current "Hit-List":
Apatosaurus
Baby Diplodocus
Corythosaurus
Deinocheirus
Estemmenosuchus
Icthyosaurus
Iguanodon
Inostrancevia
Kentrosuarus
Ornithocheirus
Ornithosuchus
Othnelia
Ouranosaurus
Oviraptor
Peloroplites
Tanystropheus
Tylosaurus
Yutyrannus

AcroSauroTaurus

I would love to see Mattel make a Diabloceratops, although perhaps instead of the yellow markings, maybe red instead to add to the "Diablo" look? Also, you forgot Mamenchisaurus in your list. ;)  And considering how often Mattel listens to fans of the line, I'm sure they would be interested in seeing your designs. As for other species in the Jurassic Universe you could do:
Dryosaurus (JPOG)
Homalocephale (JPOG)
Nigersaurus (JWE)
Camarasaurus (JPOG)
Pentaceratops (JWE)
Chasmosaurus (Kenner toy)
Geosternbergia (cut from TLW JP)
Olorotitan (JWE)
Chrichtonpelta
Euoplocephalus (JP Novel)
Hadrosaurus (JP Novel)
Irritator (JWTG)
Megaraptor (JP Warpath)
Acrocanthosaurus (JP Warpath)
Giganotosaurus (JPWarpath and cut from TLW JP game)
Maiasaura (JP Novel)
Carcharodontosaurus (JPOG)
Bajadasaurus
Cearadactylus (JP Novel)
Torosaurus (JPOG)
Dreadnoughtus (JWE)
Erlikosaurus (JW Alive)
Tsintaosaurus (JWE)
Struthiomimus (JWE)
Archaeornithomimus (JWE)
Nodosaurus (JWE)
Muttaburrasaurus (JWE)
Huayangosaurus (JWE)
Chungkingosaurus (JWE)
Gigantspinosaurus (JWE)
Polacanthus (JWE)
Lythronax (JW Alive)
I'll stop here, as there are a lot more species in the universe than you think...
I am the Dinosaur King!

avatar_AcroSauroTaurus @AcroSauroTaurus those are some interesting suggestions. Ill definitely look into a few of those. Cearadactylus is probably gonna be a priority now, since I haven't done a pterosaur yet.

Anyway, here's today's design:

Ouranosaurus (Roarivore/Dual-Attack)
She came out weird. I thought of her as a Roarivore, but for some reason, she ended up having 2 buttons on her back, whatever.

Brocc21

Personally I'd give her the JWE colors, but that's just me.

I try not to go for color schemes that have been done before, I also don't think many color schemes from JWE fit Mattel toys. They're a bit too restrained.

Halichoeres

These look really good! I'm not much of a JP fan, but I'd buy a couple of these for sure.

Thanks for the comments everyone! Unfortunately, I don't think Mattel would have any interest in these; they've got teams of artists who are much more talented than me.

I wouldn't say that, some of these are as good as if not better than what we've gotten from Mattel thus far.

I would, I'm just drawing a side profile. As someone into toy engineering, I know the designers at Mattel have a far harder job than that.

Well alright then, excuse my ignorance.
