The bald head on the Microraptor bothers me more and more.

Fenestra

I really like the metallic sheen on the feathers.
That's a nice touch.

I pass a new video of the Collecta microraptor by 2020. The size is reasonably acceptable and is honestly very well sculpted. The video credit is from Andy's Dinosaur Reviews:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7u4EwN5sPKI&feature=em-uploademail

Thanks for posting this video avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus!  If this had been any other dromaeosaurid I think I would've got it.  But it's Microraptor, which is known to have the alula, so I don't think I can get past this figure lacking it.  I also would've preferred to see feathers continue further on the Microraptor's face, and for the Microraptor to have smoother feathers.  And yes, the second and third finger should be connected within skin.  Still, I think CollectA has given this Microraptor some lovely qualities and it shows they could do another dromaeosaurid well enough I think.  I hope this figure sells well and that CollectA will produce more dromaeosaurids and even some troodontids.  They haven't given those groups attention for such a long time and there's plenty of good options, e.g. Sinornithosaurus, Austroraptor, Buitreraptor, Saurornithoides, Byronosaurus.  Even Velociraptor which could go with their new Protoceratops.

Killekor

Thanks for the video avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus ! The CollectA new Microraptor is wonderful, and I'm really looking forward to have one in my collection! It looks to me to be the best Microraptor figure ever!

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

Thanks to you Sim and Killekor and all the members of the DTF for being in the best forum in the world. :)

Gothmog the Baryonyx

I definitely prefer the much smaller Safari Ltd and PNSO Microraptor figures to this one. Its sculpted really well, but it's definitely not for me. I do hope they do another (hopefully smaller figure) dromaeosaur though. It would probably look nice.
Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, Archaeopteryx, Cetiosaurus, Compsognathus, Hadrosaurus, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Albertosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Stenonychosaurus, Deinonychus, Maiasaura, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Argentinosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Microraptor, Citipati, Mei, Tianyulong, Kulindadromeus, Zhenyuanlong, Yutyrannus, Borealopelta, Caihong

I think they left the plumage way too thin on this Microraptor. It looks way too skinny and scraggly as a result.

The latest Safari version is a much more birdlike and lifelike execution of this animal overall.

Sarapaurolophus

I really love these figs for their price point and range of species but I am unhappy about some of these color schemes. Fukui, Baryonyx and Protoceratops feature the same burger-beige with darker spots scheme. The other large carnivors for 2020 could be the salad on these burger buns with their boring greens.

The Bajadosaurus sculpt looks incredible. But considering the spikes were probably for display it is surprising they gave it one of the blandest color schemes.
Indeed, a shame really. Could've used some simple white stripes.
Shouldnt be too hard to customise and paint some stripes on though.
Agree. I really like the oryx look:

I love this lifesized model so much. That antelope look is great!
I really want to pick up the Bajada some time this year and give it a make-over. Not just the color scheme is rather bland but the "spikes" need to be more pointy. I get why they made them dull, it's a kids toy after all. But I'd like to give them more of a pointed tip.

It's the only new CollectA model this year I want to have. I was interested in the Microraptor but I like the PNSO and BotM ones better :)

Bokisaurus

Loving that Microraptor! Those colors are amazingly nice and captures the metallic sheer seen on birds.
Can't wait to see it in person😃

Flaffy

The paint scheme on the microraptor looks wonderful! Much better than any microraptor widely available on the market imo.
Such a shame that it was absolutely wasted on a gremlin with mange. Who in the world thought exposed fingers and a bald head was a good idea to put on Microraptor?

You killed me  :)) but I agree with you. If only the other microraptor figures had this painting ....

It is bigger than I imagined. I hope you enjoy them DTF members.

I really dislike that meg figure

I really dislike that meg figure

if you have the PNSO one it's pretty lackluster.  :-\

suspsy

It's definitely got a classic appearance to it. Nothing original, but it absolutely meets all the criteria for a colossal, scary, bloodthirsty shark. I can see a lot of young and mature collectors enjoying it.

I will not say if it is mediocre or good, but what I have observed is that it has beautiful details of blows, fin breaks and fighting scars. On the other hand I would have liked the Collecta megalodon to have three rows of teeth instead of two, however it is not better than the PNSO (vinyl version) but is superior to the Safari and PNSO versions (small version) since my point of view.

On the other hand, another megalodon figure that I really like is Favorite.

But going to the topic of Collecta I see fighting marks on his body and his mouth is very detailed. That Pliocene shark will succeed in children and collectors.

MLMjp

The first PNSO Megalodon blows that one out of the water.

Faelrin

Well I'm disappointed with it here. I thought it looked better in the promo pic. Though maybe the light box isn't helping matters either, as it seems to be making the white much brighter as well and making the glossiness possibly more noticeable. I guess I'll wait for in hand pics, but so far kind of disappointing after my initial impressions. At least there's always the PNSO one I suppose if it turns out I'm really not interested in this one after all.

I really dislike all meg figures. I can't think of a single one with an original deign or colourscheme, always just a great white.

There are so many interesting and weird ways to restore meg, I'm holding out buying one until someone tries out making it smaller with oversized teeth (which some new fossils actually suggest might be less speculative than previously thought), or at least gives it a new colourscheme.
