Ah, ok! Thanks for clarifying, Gothmog. Glad I asked; figured there was some way to just get the figures you want.

Teratophoneus has less then $3,000 to go. Once again hoping it is funded after I get up or shortly after. I really hope this trend of one-2 stretch goals keeps up at this rate. Plowing through them.

Gothmog the Baryonyx

Teratop? Is that like a Triceratop?

I just checked and saw that "monster murderer" was unlocked also, that is one of the 4 or 5  I plan on getting too, I was going to wait until 3 of them have been unlocked before backing, so far it is just the Guanlong and Teratophoneus.
As soon as either the Eotyrannus, Suskityrannus, or Moros if I decide to get it, is unlocked I will place my order. I know I can add them all later anyway, but I don't like leaving too much too mystery prices
Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, Archaeopteryx, Cetiosaurus, Compsognathus, Hadrosaurus, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Albertosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Stenonychosaurus, Deinonychus, Maiasaura, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Argentinosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Microraptor, Citipati, Mei, Tianyulong, Kulindadromeus, Zhenyuanlong, Yutyrannus, Borealopelta, Caihong

It's Dryptosaurus' turn now. I wonder if this Kickstarter will end up exceeding $500K when it's finally over.

One question, I want to pledge for the WWD Tyrannosaurus, but I'm confused. Should I also select the "Base Shipping for Add-Ons Only (INT)? I'm asking because I'm from Europe, and I don't know whether or not shipping is included when selecting the Tyrannosaurus figure category...

EDIT: Also, I'm wondering when would I need to enter my full address for receiving the figure once it's released. I have asked these questions to Creative Beast Studio via Messenger, but I suppose David is too busy now and if he gets to answer at all, it will be a while.

Faelrin

avatar_Concavenator @Concavenator Just select the Pledge $65 or more level for the 1/35th Special Edition Tyrannosaurus rex. Shipping will be added onto your pledge automatically. You will enter your shipping address after the backerkit survey is sent out.

Your shipping info can be filled in when you click on Settings in your Kickstarter profile and scroll right till you get to Shipping Address. The first wave of toys are slated to ship in September 2022, but you might want to fill in that info now if you're worried about forgetting to later on.

Don't know if I want to pledge to a model I've seen nothing beyond concept and package art for. Sure, I'd be able to adjust my pledge if the final product didn't grab me I suppose, and I'm sure it'll look great in the end but I don't know.

That's why I found it odd that he hasn't used the finished prototypes of Lythronax, Gorgosaurus, or Tarbosaurus yet. That'll also be bunching several large/more expensive species together at the end. Kind of bummed by that.

Well, ask and you shall receive. David just posted images of the disassembled resin prototype and screen grabs of the 3D sculpted head. Still think I want to see some paint on it first, or at least assembled. The sculpt looks good (as you would expect) but this is one of those color-schemes I was sort of lukewarm to when I saw the concept art.

Update 6 here:

Lots of progress information (regarding upcoming sculpts, etc), aside from the images of the Teratophoneus sculpt, and package art. Glad to see this one now. I like it.

The "Base Shipping for Add-Ons Only" is for those who don't want any of the adult Tyrannosaurus Rex options and and only want the add-ons.
The base rewards should add the adequate shipping based on your location. Then the add-ons marked as INT will add the extra shipping accordingly.

Will the other species be offered in both 1/35 and 1/18 scale, or just Rexy?

Just Rexy.

Also, David confirmed in the Kickstarter thread that the price tag for Albertosaurus, Daspletosaurus, Gorgosaurus, and Tarbosaurus will be $110 US each. That's pretty steep, but not surprising.

Honestly relieved it isn't more (until it gets to the retail price). Still a lot but feels like a bargain for that beautiful huge Gorgosaurus for example.

Flaffy

Does anyone know why David chose to use the juvenile / deformed skull reconstruction of Teratophoneus instead of the "Boris" specimen?

Faelrin

avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy Which specimen is that? Is that a cast of the holotype specimen's skull material? The only skull material I'm aware of currently appear to be from either the holotype (BYU 8120/9396, BYU 8120/9397, BYU 826/9402, BYU 9398, BYU 13719) described in 2011, or the subadult UMNH VP 16690 specimen described in this 2013 paper? Both appear to have partial or fragmentary skull material to work from, with the subadult UMNH VP 16690 specimen appearing to have a bit more to work from, despite being a subadult. Apparently there was also a specimen discovered in 2017 at the Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument, but I don't know if that specimen has been fully confirmed to belong to Teratophoneus or another genus by now, assuming it has been described at all yet, but it appears to have the skull, and most of the body. I'm also not sure if the skull in this 2021 paper is the one discovered in 2017, or is a different one, but it appears to belong to an adult specimen.

Scott Hartman's skeletal seems to be largely based upon specimen UMNH VP 16690 as well (though also the holotype), and I wonder if that skeletal was used as a starting point, other then the papers possibly?

Edit: Something I was thinking about. Assuming my math is sound, we should be able to reach $500,000 or more by the end of the campaign, so long is there is a daily pledge level of at least no lower then $8,700. It seems the campaign has begun to slow down, within the past three days (including today), but is still making solid progress. Just need to keep getting the word out and/or helping folks unsure confused about things.

Edit 2: The package art for the Moros has been revealed (artist is Raph Lomotan):

This makes me want to see the final prototype displayed alongside the forest and wetlands environment sets, because man is this making me nostalgic for those sets.

And speaking of more sets there's been some discussion on the kickstarter about a potential accessory set as a further stretch goal, if the rest of the tyrannosaurs can get funded as well. Assuming the 12 remaining stretch goals are no more then $20,000 each, we would need an additional $240,000 (or slightly less now, in regards to the upcoming Dryptosaurus stretch goal), or over $530,000 total. I'm guessing the larger Gorgosaurus, Tarbosaurus, Daspletosaurus, and Albertosaurus might need more then $20,000 each to fund though. If the last two days can bring in as much (if not more) as the first two days, we might be in good hands though.

That Moros artwork is fantastic! And the Dryptosaurus is within $8K of being unlocked!
