Hmmm... there was no coloring-in of the next stretch tease when Qianzhousaurus was unlocked...

I'm guessing we'll see another or more once Lythronax gets funded. Half of the way there as far as stretch goals go though, and all within the first week and a half roughly.

Doing well so far. Just got the exclusive WWD Rex, look forward to getting it. Hopefully can reach all the stretch goals, want Allectrosaurus and Suskityrannus

Another update and this time it is the built Teratophoneus prototype. If I'm being honest I think the neck looks a little thin or too small for the head? And other then the stuff avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy pointed out, it's very nice. I also like the coloration for this one too, so I'm eager to see it get painted.

Edit: Alectrosaurus has been colored in now:

I think after Lythronax gets funded, hopefully there will be another huge boost after the Suskityrannus, Gorgosaurus, and Eotyrannus stretch goals get added.

I like that Teratophoneus. Indeed, part of me now wishes I had gotten the BotM Kosmoceratops instead of the Spiclypeus so that I could have had more justification to get that little tyrannosaurid.

I agree with the neck situation, and I still think I need to see some paint on this one before committing. I'm not sure I'm in love with the concept art so I'll have to see how it turns out.

Thought you might like to know that David responded to my questions regarding it in the comments on the kickstarter update, and he said he is already working to improve it. It's his strive to make these as best as possible (and the transparency throughout it all) that makes me glad I've been supporting his projects since 2016.

Yes after posting the photos I can see that this one will require a thicker neck. I was hoping to share the neck with juvenile T. rex, but it's obvious now that won't work for this figure.  I'm adjusting the neck now and will repost photos, but thank you for the honest feedback.

I suggested to David that it would be very cool if the background used with the WWD Tyrannosaurus was based on the sceneries used in the documentary.  ;)

avatar_Concavenator @Concavenator I was just thinking of that last night after re-watching the Tyrannosaur episode. The part the really stood out to me was it roaring next to the Araucaria tree on the cliff (and both the raptor series mountain and forest environment accessory packs come with said tree. Edit: To add the 1/35 scale T. rex would scale so much better with it as well).

Another edit: So the Dryptosaurus prototype is built up now, and the Teratophoneus already has a replacement neck that's much thicker looking. Both look great so far.

With that quote alone from David, it just shows me how committed he is to supporting his line followed by satisfying customers. Doing an amazing job with this line.

I really love the look of the Dryptosaurus. I was trying to decide between pledging for that one or the Lythronax, and now I think I just need to pledge for both.

The new neck for the Teratophoneus is a massive improvement as well. The figure looks a lot less gawky.

I really want to like the Dryptosaurus. I mean, I do like everything from the torso up but there's something about the hard cut off to the feathers (especially on the tail) that bugs the heck out of me. I get there's only so much you can do with that idea on an articulated model and maybe it'll look better with some paint but yeah, it looks a bit awkward.

But I do love the improved neck on the teratophoneus, may just need to back that one now.

Eh, I can see why the hard cutoff might seem awkward, but it looks a lot like the clearly defined feather tracts you see on ostriches. The transition from "feathers" to "bare skin" on ostriches is pretty abrupt, too. You just don't normally think about it, because their feathers are long enough to cover the gaps.

Ostrich was my thought as well looking at it. I think it may look better with some paint on it too.
