avatar_Eocarcharia @Eocarcharia You can change things until it is locked down/closed in Feb. Just take note if you add any add-ons, etc with paypal you will be charged that day, where as credit cards are charged when it is locked down. I hope that helps. I may have more info on this in the op? Don't remember.

Eocarcharia

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin Ok, thanks! Now that I submitted it I can see my options to edit the pledge and order.

Duck

Late to the party, but thanks for posting these avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin ! This really gives me a whole new perspective on these figures. And it also made me realize how big the 1/18th Tyrannosaurus really is!

The Alectrosaurus prototype is just about done and the Qianzhousaurus gallery went up on social media a few days ago.

avatar_suspsy @suspsy Yeah sorry for being behind on maintaining this. I've been busy with working on updating many of my older Skyrim mods, so it's slipped my my mind sadly. I'll get it updated here soon.

Edit: Alectrosaurus wip pic:

Edit 2: The Qianzhousaurus gallery has been added to the op now, and there's been a few fixes, and text rewrites to make things more consistent in style.

Also very nearly have 4 prototypes left to be finished for this series. How exciting!

Carnoking

That Alectrosaurus is looking fantastic. Gonna have to add it. :P

dinodamage

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin thanks so much for the photos, I feel so immensely excited seeing these!

I really like the pose on the Gorgosaurus- so far best example of articulation as far as I'm aware. And if I remember correctly these prototypes are less flexible than the factory production?

The colors on the Qianzhousaurus and Alectrosaurus are gorgeous, but MAN is there a lot of red in this series. Not a complaint, they all look fantastic, I just wish there was more color variety.

I wasn't paying much attention to the Lythronax, but it's growing on me with how it contrasts with the rest of the group.

Faelrin

avatar_dinodamage @dinodamage After being sculpted they are cast in resin and then glued together. So to see the real range of articulation need to wait for the tooling stage and after during production.

so is it ok to wait until right before Feb. to complete the survey? Ive looked at my survey but I don't know if I am gonna change anything yet b/c I want to wait for the remaining unfinished prototypes to be revealed. Also I only have the guanlong that I pledged for back when the kickstarter began but its possible I might change it for something pricier or add another figure and I will have to use PayPal to add to my initial pledge amount and I don't want my PP account to be charged now.

TaranUlas

Yeah, that makes sense.

I finally broke this past week and bought the 1/18 Tyrannosaurus rex. Financially I can afford it with my new job and I know that I will regret not getting it for cheaper like this if I don't. I don't really care that it's going to be easily the most difficult thing to place in my collection. It will be worth it.

That places me in total at 1/35 WWD Rex, Juvenile rex, Guanlong, and the 1/18 Rex. I love getting large wave 1 shipments.

Sometimes you gotta strike when the iron's hot and get those good prices. I wonder if I'll ever see mine though. I got a ceratopsian from Wave 2 and still haven't received it yet. It was supposed to come out in April and it's December now.

You need to message David or the store you ordered with .

A bit late on this but the Alectrosaurus has been fully painted now:

Also late to respond to you avatar_terrorchicken @terrorchicken but you can wait until then if you want. Just remember you are free to change anything until it gets locked down at Feb 22. Also a little heads up, I think from what I recall a few weeks back, any add-ons that were paid for during the kickstarter cannot actually be changed out so that's the exception. I don't know if that's been fixed yet (assuming it can be). I haven't kept tabs on it unfortunately.

Fembrogon

Mmmmm, all these tyrant color schemes have just been too good.

I sent in my Backerkit survey already, but I'm considering updating before Feb to add more figures; they're all so good-looking!

Eocarcharia

The Alectrosaurus color scheme is really growing on me. Choosing between it and the Qianzhousaurus is going to be tough.

Flaffy

I really like how the Alectrosaurus turned out! Since the genus itself is so fragmentary, I think this figure can stand in as a generic Pantyrannosaurid.

terrorchicken

Faelrin,
the only thing I paid for after the kickstarter ended was the guanlong. So I can no longer change it,  I can only add another figure to my survey?

The alectro came out great, I thought Id hate the yellow stripe but it doesn't really detract from it at all.

Faelrin

avatar_terrorchicken @terrorchicken Yeah I believe that is correct. It wouldn't hurt to reach out to David just in case though, especially if you aren't interested in it anymore.

^I dont really know if Ill keep it or not, depends on what the remaining unfinished figures will look like.  Where would I contact him? (I don't have a FB account)

Faelrin

If you backed the kickstarter you can message him through there.
