EoFauna Triceratops

EoFauna Scientific Research Triceratops sp. "Dominant"

Shrek 4 is an underrated masterpiece

It will be by far my favorite triceratops! I have countless triceratops but that is perhaps the one that has caught my attention the most in the last thirty years. Magnificent figure. Before I was reluctant to buy that figure thinking that it was going to be a triceratops, like the ones I already have from recognized brands of dinosaurs but this one has conquered me. Magnificent figure, what perhaps I like the most is his jaw and his horns ... well I like everything about him.

Gothmog the Baryonyx

This Triceratops is stunning but I'm pretty sure its meant to be a 2020 release?
Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, Archaeopteryx, Cetiosaurus, Compsognathus, Hadrosaurus, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Albertosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Stenonychosaurus, Deinonychus, Maiasaura, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Argentinosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Microraptor, Citipati, Mei, Tianyulong, Kulindadromeus, Zhenyuanlong, Yutyrannus, Borealopelta, Caihong

Holy Cow! I love it! Everything about it! The Coloration is superb. Well done, EoFauna.

EverythingDinosaur has said it is expected to arrive in their store early 2021. Granted, other stores could get it in sooner, but I imagine it would be late 2020 (December) at best.

If you came from "eofauna-general discussion" you'd know how i feel about this figure. But my opinion aside, its a very well sculpted and painted figure.

What makes it look like a "JW game hybrid?"
The mouth however being open like this I can understand, I don't see much of a point for it to be open in this fending off pose.
I don't mind it as much but I would have preferred it to be closed or only slightly open.
I do however like how they handled the cheek situation here, very Witton style, perhaps the open mouth was just the best option to show the soft tissue off there.
The open mouth, the paint job, and the strangely long horns, although they are based on this new specimen, right?

Could it be that the triceratops has a jointed jaw and the prototype photograph reflects the dinosaur with the maximum jointed jaw? In fact, the giganotosaurus of the same brand has a jointed jaw and other companies such as PNSO have triceratops with that characteristic.

On the other hand, I think that the two horns are the same, what can happen if they are seen from an angle that does not allow us to appreciate that these horns are uniform or better said symmetrical in terms of size. It should also be noted that triceratops due to battle damage or accidents could have longer horns than others.

I don't even see why the open mouth makes if fantasy like.  I can picture something like that happening. This animal is trying to stay out of a fight so it swings its head and makes loud noises to try to scare away it's opponent.

Thats true, but the way its sculpted makes it seem unnatural. Sorry

Well, I think we are just used to calmer poses for this genus.
Let's see how it looks in hand.
I honestly have the exact same feeling towards the Altasaurus and even the Giganotosaurus when i first saw them. I after seeing internet reviews, i want them BAD

I sincerely know from experience that most figures of prehistoric animals or dinosaurs look better physically than in photos or promotional videos. My experience with dinosaurs and prehistoric Eofauna animals in particular (with all of them) has been that, so I doubt the triceratops is an exception.

I don't think it would need to open the mouth that far to make loud grunts, but a threat display with snapping might work.

Yeah. I think someone mentioned that beaks on ceratopsids are overlooked as a method of defense, don't remember in which thread it was

Before i ordered The Giganotosaurus and the Atlasaurus, i looked at ALOT of Videos, Pictures, reviews. I liked them alot, but when i got them to my place and saw them the first time Inhand, i was blown away. These EoFauna Figures look way better, than in Pictures. I guess it will be the same with the Trike.

Also, to me, the sculpt is very dynamic and lifelike. A absolutely can imagine a scene like that. The wide open Mouth still looks natural to me. The Stance, everything fits. The long Horns are quite long, but why not. Looks like an Alpha Male of a Herd, protecting.

Lanthanotus

Well, that does so not appeal to me....
... but I honestly hope it fills up Eofauna`s register to allow them to release more awesome figures in the future.

Mellow Stego

I think it looks amazing and will happily grab one when they come out.
As of right now I only have one adult Triceratops in my collection, so this will be a great addition.
Keep calm and love dinosaurs

Arctinus

I also really like the triceratops or, well, mostly the Dominant colour variant. Though, I think I'd even prefer the Cryptic frill colour pattern on the Dominant colour variant.  :P I already reserved one at EverythingDinosaur and it's going to be my first triceratops.  ^-^

What? Rebor didn't invent the idea of colour variants
