Giganotosaurus

I am very happy to see the therizinosaurus having feathers, but something about it looks off. I was not expecting it to be that colorful.
Spoiler
Also, do we know if a plesiosaurus is planned for the movie or toyline?

Mosasurus on Jurassic Mainframe and JPToys
Angurius on TohoKingdom

I love all the Jurassic movies, plus Disney's Dinosaur

If it is a resculpt, I have to say it's a major downgrade from the original. Way more shrink-wrapped and looks more like a monster than something you could actually see as a real animal, which seems to be happening a lot with their newer figures. I do understand why that the dominion itself gets to choose the designs, but due to Mattel sort of being known to keep the same sculpt and repainting it, you'd think they'd keep the same one  :(

I'm not going to try and judge the quality of it based on that picture. All I know is that I never was able to get the last one so I'm welcoming this one. I try not to stress too much about accuracy, or things like shrink wrapping with this line. Brands like CollectA, Safari, and PNSO I collect for realism and accuracy, I collect Mattel because they're fun toys.

I actually love all of them.

The Dominion Giga and Theri designs are solid. I vastly prefer the new Quetz head, and the baby Pyroraptor is adorable!

Mattyonyx

About the leaks, do you think they're all going to be in the actual movie? Because some of them seem to have the design of the "Mattel-only" species...

..
pretty cool stuff! nice to have some new Jurassic stuff to chew on while we wait for new installments to the franchise and JW:E2

what's everyone else's thoughts on these 3?

So far I like them!

That vehicle looks interesting, I think posing it with the Mega Destroyers dinosaurs would look cool. Biosyn out to capture some dinosaurs!

Edit:
Saw all the other leaks, they look to be very cool toys, and fun to mess around with.
And when it comes to Jurassic fun factor is the most important thing for me.
This is not your planet to rule. The Fallen shall rise again.

These all look to be par for the course. I think the Therizinosaurus is my favourite.

Plesiosaurus is not only rumored to appear on screen (through several fairly detailed leaks that seem to have gotten some stuff right so far) but a plesiosaurus is getting its own page in an upcoming Jurassic World cookbook, suggesting a 3D render of the animal will appear on the page. it is also rumored for camp cretaceous, though this is unlikely (sadly)

Ok about the Therizinosaurus, so thats supposed to be the movie design? I don´t wanna know anything about movie leaks so please DO NOT tell me anything about being real or not, please. Now, IF it´s truly a movie design... Mmmm....Yeah total schleich rip-off there. I will give it the benefit of the doubt for being a prototype, but IF the therizinosaurus is in the film and looks similar to that, it better has a smaller head at least.

I´m not gonna comment more about leaks, so I´m gonna change topic. I just got the Ouranosaurus and its quite big actually, like, it should be on the smaller side when compared to other ornithopods but...

EDIT: I just checked El Corte Ingles (department store in Spain) website and they have the Dennis Nedry pack! Just when I though I would have to import it! Hooray!

Faelrin

avatar_MLMjp @MLMjp Glad to see how those three size up. I fear it could be some time before I can get my hands on the Ouranosaurus, but nice seeing how much space I made need to accommodate for it. Glad to hear you will finally be able to get your hands on that set too, after all this time, without having to resort to importing it.

Thanks for also changing the subject. Honestly after speaking with JPToys on the matter over on instagram I agree that the leaks should not be shared or discussed any further, until there is some official images, which could still be ways off anyhow with the global shipping crisis and the movie not in theaters until summer of next year. I also want to remind folks that any discussion of new species (and their toys) in Dominion should be spoiler tagged.

Geez, comments in the comment sections for those. Calling them trash and whining about them not being Kenner quality. ( Which it probably is ) Saw also one comment in the one of the Amber collection JPIII Raptor talking how it is plastic trash while the Kenner figures all had rubbery real feeling skin ( which is not true at all ).
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

They're blinded by nostalgia. I love Kenner and I'm definitely nostalgic for the line but looking at Kenner and Mattel objectively, Mattel comes out on top .

I have to disagree there, and I am not blinded by nostalgia cause I was born too late to enjoy the kenner era. I think is 50/50, there are things that Kenner did better and others that Mattel does better.

yeah. on the other end of the spectrum are the people blinded by this weird jurassic "loyalty to the brand" who think all criticism is bad. it's very stupid.

but yeah the peak of quality was the incredibly short lived 2013 line. that level of quality i miss.

Carnoking

As far as the Kenner vs. Mattel debate goes, I personally wasn't around for Kenner so I can't really be blinded by nostalgia for the line but I will say this;
When it comes to screen-accurate sculpts and detail in general, Mattel beats Kenner 9 times out of 10. And I know I'm guilty of giving Mattel grief for their more "cartoony" original sculpts but in reality, Kenner was just as prone to this trend back in the day.

I think the only areas where Kenner has a leg up would be in the accessory department and playsets (including vehicles and humans, but it seems Mattel is getting a better handle on both of these facets), as well as paint and overall make. Too many QC issues with the Mattel stuff for my taste. And whereas I'm not one of those guys who wants "real feel" skin for everything, I certainly think it would be cool for larger products that don't necessarily "do" anything, I.e. the apatosaurus, brachiosaurus, super colossals, etc.

Sculpted by David Silva. Yes, that David Silva.
