Looks great! But this better not be a $30+ figure....

True that. I hope it's in the same price range as the Pachyrhinosaurus.

avatar_Carnoking @Carnoking the only issue I have with this model is indeed the tail base. Especially if you compare it with the Safari Pachy. But overall I do like this one much more.

Something about the color scheme reminds me of The Lost World: JP one. I'll have to check on my PC later (easier) to compare the dimensions between this one and the Safari Ltd one, but I guess both are on my wishlist now. Both look lovely in their own way. I agree the tail on this one could probably be thicker though. I love how the skin was sculpted here too.

Edit: I hope the Edmontonia is coming soon. And while I'm not as interested there's still the Zhuchengtyrannus, and possibly an Allosaurus on the way (which I might be interested in)?

Austin looks terrific. I like how the osteoderms on his back are very subtle compared to the very bold ones on the Wild Safari version. It'll help distinguish the two of them from each other.

Naturally, the biggest question on my mind now is the price tag.

I very much like this one but since I already have the Safari Pachycephalosaurus, the price will be the ultimate determining factor. But I dare say that I do like this one better than Safari's.

JimoAi

Holy cow. I share the same name as the Pachycephalosaurus

SidB

Since I limit myself to scales and brands , but not to numbers of a given genus, this one will be good company for Doug Watson's Safari masterpiece. Each has its strongpoints.

PNSO made exactly the figures I wanted: Parasaurolophus and Pachycephalosaurus.
Largely represented figures, yet none really satisfied me completely untill now.

Now I just want a Gigantoraptor, but unlikely, they haven't teased it.
Also a PNSO Deinocheirus would be nice.

I would love to see a (bigger) PNSO Gigantoraptor and even more a Deinocheirus!!

The Pachycephalosaurus looks great and I'm probably getting it!!

suspsy

I already own three solid Deinocheirus toys, so I'd pass on a PNSO one. A big Gigantoraptor would be sweet, though.

Hope Zhuchengtyrannus or Edmontonia are up next for the reveal.

Follow closely with @pnso.official for the updates and save your wallet for the coming models."

They just keep going lol. I am amazed at how fast they are whipping these out. Hope the factory workers are treated well with it all too. I'm guessing they probably use multiple factories as well, as many other companies do.

Thanks for this info! I may have to hold on getting Austin then as I am more curious about their future releases.

JimoAi

Aww thanks for the compliments

GojiraGuy1954

I love that Pachy. Definitely skipping the Safari LTD Pachy to get this one instead.

what I do not understand is the following why PNSO being a Chinese company does not focus on making prehistoric animals from Asia? I do not get it. Perhaps due to marketability problems.

I think PNSO has made, in general, a higher proportion of Asian species than most brands. Especially if you include the minis. Maybe only Vitae has a higher percentage of home-country picks. Just looking at the numbered main-line figures, 19 out of 45 have been Asian species, so around half.

My guess now is that they definitely will release a Torvosaurus and a Yutyrannus, since they were teased the same way as the Carcharodontosaurus and Pachycephalosaurus. And then there were those sauropods...

Btw Austin is really small, which is a good thing if you ask me.

Paintjob on that Pachy looks really good so far. Great Figure! Regarding the Price, i guess it will be around the other smaller Figures. That would mean an Aliexpress Price of around 17 to 20 Euros. Sounds about right for a Figure with that Detail and a Paintapp like this.

Looking forward to the next Figures. Almost forgot about that Carcharodontosaurus :-D. I am really curious, how the Yutyrannus will look... And if there are going to be Sauropods. If they will put Sauropods on the Market, they could be really pricey. We#ll see.

Thanks for teh Info everyone. Thats quite helpful for the People without Social Media Stuff.

Gothmog the Baryonyx

From that image I'd say that Austin looks about 1:25 scale at a guess? Smaller than the Safari
Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, Archaeopteryx, Cetiosaurus, Compsognathus, Hadrosaurus, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Albertosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Stenonychosaurus, Deinonychus, Maiasaura, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Argentinosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Microraptor, Citipati, Mei, Tianyulong, Kulindadromeus, Zhenyuanlong, Yutyrannus, Borealopelta, Caihong

Skorpio V.

Kinda curious about the tail. Recreations drift from decently thicc (Saurian) to pretty thin (Battat) but this one's caught my eye by how thin it is. Just me?

P.S. man this really blows Schleich's out the water.

From what I have read, the tails were tall when seen from side, but started out thick at the base and narrowed considerably when seen from the top.
The Safari ltd model reflects this.
However, this is based on other pachycephalosaur species (or juvenile Pachycephalosaurus depending on where you fall on that debate) and not on direct evidence of adult Pachys, since we mostly just have skulls for those.
