Did you all see the trailer of 'Dinosauria' created by David James Armsby? It looks fantastic. I can't wait:

Oh, wow. That is a gorgeous piece of animation. And those hadrosaurs! I'm in love.

Thanks for posting this, avatar_Thialfi @Thialfi, I had totally missed it. I take it this will be airing on his YouTube channel?
Check out my customs thread!

Nanuqsaurus

There's a Nanuqsaurus in it, so it's perfect already! :))

But seriously. this looks amazing. The animation is beautiful and the art style is great. We could use more media that portays dinosaurs as normal animals, instead of the monstrous killing machines they are in most mainsteam media!

suspsy

The animation and the sound effects are absolutely stellar. I'm excited to watch this series.

I feel like that's all I've ever wanted since I was a kid watching Phil Tippitt's stop motion sequences for Dinosaur!.

This looks fantastic, I can't wait to see more. I've already watched the trailer itself a few times.

That's a good question - I don't know to be honest! I follow the maker's YouTube channel, so once I learn more I will definitely post it here!

Very happy to hear everybody is just as thrilled about this as I am! It's exactly what was said: finally, dinosaurs doing natural, animal things ❤️

This popped up in my YouTube recommendation feed (praise be to the algorithm gods) and I was grinning like an idiot from start to finish. Really love the style, the designs, the behaviors, the sound work, all of it. I kind of feel bad saying this given how beautiful this looks but dang if it didn't leave me thirsting for a high-end live-action series or movie that was just as committed to accurate designs and naturalistic behavior. I mean, if seeing animated versions of these animals was enough to put me in awe, I can't imagine what seeing a photo-realistic 3D model would do.

Looks incredible. I like how they are in a brutal, warring, world, yet they are still like real animals. This basically what I wish to be as an animator.  I want to combine the Soft Dinosaur Revolution and the "Awesomebro" depictions. I wonder how he makes those animations, they are like 3d, but also 2d textured. Really cool stuff.

acro-man

Probably the most exciting news this year.
The reconstruction, the art style, everything looks great!

Yes, I really love that look, too.
By the way, THAT is the tyrannosaurus I would like to be done in a figure.  :D

Considering this is from the same person who made the awesome short "Sharp Teeth" in 2019 and "God's Leash" in 2018; the "Dinosauria" mini series is a welcome development.

*note: I shared it only for the "raptor" animation, but "God's Leash" has some visuals and topics that might not be for everyone. Viewer discretion is advised.

This really piques my interest. It looks fantastic.
I'm guessing that is the unnamed giant Alaskan Troodontid in the Prince Creek Formation?

I'm curious if anyone here is a Patreon supporter of David and have already seen the first episode....

How was it?

...because the 2 week wait is killer....

( ;D pardon my dramatics... too much bad news in my area, I'm savoring every bit of good news)

Psittacoraptor

This looks fantastic, clearly a labour of love and passion!

Halichoeres

Yeah, this looks really cool.
