I typically balk at spending even $35 on most dinosaur brands; but I backed the first campaign so I'll try to back this one as well. I definitely think this has the potential to be the definitive Spinosaurus figure (at least for now), and I would love to see the line expand into other genera of different shapes and sizes (and prices). Hopefully things will work out this time!

The campaign was supposed to start today, but Blayken shared this on Twitter yesterday:

The #MesozoicLifeProject Spinosaurus Kickstarter campaign begins in May. I can't say the exact date yet, until
@Kickstarter validates the campaign for me.

It is assumed that today you will know something, but as I say it does not depend on me at this time.

New update! The Kickstarter campaign releases this week.

So this week the #MesozoicLifeProject 1:35 Scale Spinosaurus Figure Latest Campaign will be released and tomorrow I will inform you of the date and exact day.

For now just access the pre-launch link.

Saved it. Really hope this time it succeeds. This is such a beautiful Spinosaurus. I'll definitely back it this time around, since I don't have the BotM Tyrannosaur series one conflicting with it this time. I'm just concerned about if/when the campaign ends, but since it still has yet to go live, and if it lasts for 30 days, that should put it in early June.

Yep, I wont be able to participate unfortunately. I have other expenses coming...

I'll definitely be backing it this time around

I'm not really interested in Spinosaurus, but this might be worth backing to get an equally good Herrerasaurus down the road.

What if it came with a fish that wasn't another Onchopristis or Coealcanth ;)

Jokes aside, I am rather curious how some of the smaller animals will be like. I hope they keep it at a constant 1:35~1:40 scale.
I would also like to see some herbivores,  or maybe non-dinosaurs eventually. Most, if not, all of their anticipated dinosaurs are theropods, with herrerasaurus being the exception but it's rather similar to them in otherways.

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres Good point about that. We're long over due for a proper Herrerasaurus, if they can get that far.

I am actually quite excited about this - the only Spinosaurus I own is the Papo own, but this one looks much more amazing and the project deserves support.

Isn't the Kickstarter supposed to be open by now?

Faelrin

Yeah I'm wondering if/when it is going live today. It's nearly 11am EST, but seems to be like 5pm time in Spain (assuming the time converter I used was accurate on this thing), where the creator lives. Anyways here's the link again for folks, when it does eventually go live:

Ha ha, you joke, but I would eagerly back a Spinosaurus it if it came with an interesting fish, even an Onchopristis if it were made better than the Damtoys version (a low bar, really).

I forgot where the current thread is. I seen some updates about the mold making and materials. It appears they should be ready but there are always small errors that set them back. Can someone direct me to the current thread please?
