Upcoming releases from Creative Beast Studio (New for 2024)(Pt.9)

The fourth figure for the Creative Beast/Eons Prehistoric Elephants line is none other than the famous “shovel tusker” Platybelodon! Here’s the concept art by Ross Persichetti.

And here’s the unpainted prototype for the actual figure. Looks fantastic!

And check out the 1/12 melanistic Smilodon for the Beasts of the Cenozoic series. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in black before; it looks pretty spiffy!

The Smilodon works reasonably well with the medium-sized Beasts of the Mesozoic theropod display stand.

As many of you already know, the figure comes with an alternate head so that you have the option of a roaring or a closed mouth.

And an alternate neck if you don’t care for manes.

This exciting figure should be shipping in October.

  • The Smilodon is actually 1/12 scale. A 1/18 one is planned for sometime next year.

  • Both look great. I assume there is a different colour option for the Smilodon as well? BTW the Smilodon on Dino Dana is black. Figure looks kinda big for 1/18 though. Shoulder height of maybe 3 inches which is 4 1/2 feet. eek. Even populator didn’t get nearly that big.
