Alright, I'll hand it to everyone who said the mystery theropod was Rugops, you were right. I was totally convinced it was Nanuqsaurus (even if that would have made more sense).

All of these are easy passes for me except the baby Nasutoceratops. Paint is weak, but it's another baby dinosaur and I'll probably like in more in hand.

I'm surprised this version of Red lacks the paint on the legs, which the one in the Carnotaurus set had (unless this is a missed paint app, which can happen). Strange.

Also the new Chaos Outpost playset has also been revealed. Also kind of meh on it, but at least it can be combined with that Battle Gate set playset maybe? And though it isn't no Kenner, at least its better then no playset at all I guess. If I'm being honest though, I actually like how the mini set playsets turned out more, despite the smaller size. I wish we had larger versions of those. And the Pyroraptor included barely has any paint apps. Looks worse then the basic figure tbh. Might be a repack of the Wave 3 Ferocious Pack one as well.

Again I'm hoping the Pyroraptor in the Kayla set is the better of these for the meantime, until a Hammond Collection one can happen. Same with the Dimetrodon in the Grant set (although I guess the Extreme Damage one I got is okay too). Still waiting for pics of those to show up.

Ugh! Not really a 2022 release, but this pretty much is for me: saw for the first time yesterday the Shringasaurus Wild Pack wave, at my nearest Fred Meyer. Everything was there except Shringasaurus (of course), but I happily snapped up the Mononykus as I never saw its first release.

Today I checked out two more Fred Meyers about 15 minutes away, and BOTH also had stock of everything in that wave except the stupid Shringasaurus! I blame Mattel. They must have short-packed the heck out of that figure. I can only hope one of those stores has another box or two to put out. Just dumb. So close.

On another note, I guess I had better wait on any Dimetrodon I come across, because I'd hope to be able to get it and old Dr. Grant in the story pack. Hoping a new version of Pyroraptor is already out of the prototyping phase because the current sculpt is FUBAR.

I'm gonna need that Ceratosaurus Snap Squad.  ;D

ItsTwentyBelow

I don't think those are Snap Squad...

Gwangi

I can't imagine what else they would be. They're certainly Snap Squad like, and if they're Snap Squad sized I'll still want the Cerato.

They're from the UNCAGED "Wild Popup" assortment.

Speaking of which we haven't seen any new Snap Squads lately. Hope they're still making them cause I love them!
Keep calm and love dinosaurs

Ah so that's what those snap squad looking Moros and Therizinosaurus figures that got leaked a while back were. I guess I'll have to pick these up then, since it's probably intended to be a successor to that line (and similar price point), though I will miss the dangly features of the previous ones which also had closed jaws by default. I do wish the arms were a little larger/visible though like on the snap squad figures. Proportionally I also prefer the snap squads too, as while they were still big headed, the feet were smaller.

Cracked the code (sort of) for the large Captivz Pyroraptor. I weighed a couple of those large Captivz eggs today, and got the following results:
- 355 g
- 372 g
- 378 g

The lightest one, as I suspected, contained the Pyroraptor. So since Mattel isn't giving us a screen accurate Pyroraptor (as of now), this is the next best option for a JWD display. Probably scales better too with the human figures since Pyroraptor is a smaller raptor in the movie.

avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy Don't forgot the Takara Tomy one coming out later this year too (though too bad it still is in a set with Blue and the T.rex).

Also thanks for sharing those weights. Not too sure where those are sold in my area, but I'm tempted to go for that Pyroraptor at the very least, if not the Takara Tomy one (which has some articulation, like the Mattel figures)

New Beyond the Gates reveal. Grant, Ceratosaurus, and Triceratops. Gallimimus is strangely missing from the video and from the landing page atm. Neither is the T. rex there in its place. And last night definitely said 4 new HC reveals. Now granted it's like after 6am my time (EST), and pre-orders don't go up until noon here. And they don't have pages up yet. Will have to check back later.

We also know Ellie and the Dilophosaurus are coming later as it said 2 more HC reveals are coming on 8/17.

Anyways the new Ceratosaurus looks really nice, and while the Triceratops is still on the small side it does look a tad bit bigger and looks size right for the one in JP, or close enough. I think this one is the highlight of today's reveals though. They really did their research with both Mark "Crash" McCreery's concept art, and the animatronic the team at SWS created. Not just the sculpt but even the paint detail reflects it (although like the one in the film has been colored to look like it has dirt on it). I mean we did get a hint of that from the in box pic earlier anyways. Again aside from the size this has to be the definitive JP Triceratops from Mattel so far.

Carnoking

The triceratops still looks comically small compared to the HC rex but does seem to size up well with the human characters when compared to what we see in the original film.

Gwangi

Size be damned, that's still a beautiful Trike. I'll be getting it, no question about it.

A shame that these aren't stocked at my local Wal-Mart.
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

Darko2300

That Triceratops doesn't look too bad, but that eye! (I'll definitely have to repaint it. 😅)

Blade-of-the-Moon

The sculpt on the trike is nice, certainly more film accurate, but the paint apps..woof. Much different than shown on the video even..the beak, horns, ect..all a flat color that glares out at you. Good news is..it can be repainted.
