Thanks, avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin, those mini-dioramas have a certain charm.

More of the little JP/JW figures:

Indoraptor, Pteranodon, Mosasaurus with shark, Tyrannosaurus with Gallimimus? Carnotaurus

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres It's an unfortunate Carnotaurus. It's from the scene in Fallen Kingdom (which was used in many of the trailers for it) where the T. rex was roaring in front of the eruption.

Edit: While I ordered the first Jurassic Park trilogy themed set, I think I'll skip this one. Only the Mosasaurus sort of calls to me, but eh, I'm more content with my much larger Mattel one. I also feel like they could have picked some better scenes to represent here. The T. rex and Mosasaurus makes sense to me, and I guess perhaps the Indoraptor, but why the Pteranodon?

Aha! Thank you. I haven't seen FK, although I'm sure I've seen trailers. I'll change the post accordingly.

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres Can't blame you tbh, especially if you aren't already a fan of the franchise. It's also the weakest for me, with Dominion pretty close on that front (although it did have more moments I enjoyed, like the Therizinosaurus one at least).

That said, I do wonder if they'll be doing any themed sets like this for Dominion, unless they did and I just straight up forgot.

Yeah, I saw JW with some friends and haven't watched any of the movies since! The fewer people see bad movies, the fewer bad movies will be made.

Quote from: Halichoeres on July 26, 2022, 04:33:26 PMI'm not even sure whether these are new or re-releases, but they're showing up on places like Toy Paradise:

I found out these were originally released in 2019:

Another Jurassic World Takara Tomy ARTS set released. Got this in an email from avatar_brettnj @brettnj today:

I'm definitely interested in the Pyroraptor, and although the others are also nice, they are easy skips for me.

Well I found out these Ania tyrannosaurus figures are to be given out this year:

https://www.fuku-e.com/experience/detail.html?_prvw_k__TSpot=5330 (original Japanese link)

https://www-fuku--e-com.translate.goog/experience/detail.html?_prvw_k__TSpot=5330&_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp (already translated into English)

And TIL there is a dinosaur themed hotel in Japan, which sounds pretty cool.

There's some more information about these figures on this facebook account as well:

https://www.facebook.com/GCGLLCtokyo/?ref=page_internal

There's also a new brown Triceratops (repaint?) as well. Don't believe this is what entry #3684 is intended to represent on the DinoToyCollector website due how long that entry has been around for.

Another new for 2022 thing is this set I think (was going to share the Japanese Takara Tomy mall link, but the website was down for maintenance)?

https://takaratomyasia.com/ania/item/aniaplayset/192299

Their first Pachycephalosaurus I think, not counting the Jurassic World Stygimoloch.

Oh, some are repaints? I saw an announcement for that one recently but I thought they were all straight re-releases!

I'm not sure why, but that Pachycephalosaurus in the playset looks really familiar. I wonder if the design is copied from elsewhere.

I was coming here to post this too, but then the forum logged me out and I lost my post, right as I hit submit on it. Not the first time this has happened before and I don't understand why.

Anyways what I wanted to say is that I already asked to order the whole set with avatar_brettnj @brettnj which is where I got the heads up from. The set is called ジュラシック・ワールド スタンドフィギュア which translates into Jurassic World Stand Figure, which is also the name of some of the older sets (such as the Battle at Big Rock themed one), which makes it a bit harder to find through the likes of google, and probably also due to its newness. In any case I put the above Japanese text into Mercari JP and was also to find this image of it. Not sure if it is the most high quality, but I image it gets the job done.

I think this set would go nicely with the previously released Raptors Collection, which I got the Pyroraptor from. This also makes me realize that Takara Tomy should do a Dilophosaurus for their Ania line as well. It's strangely absent from it. I'd take either the new Dominion design or the original, although I do prefer the original. That said I do wonder if they'll make a figure of it for next year's Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary? Surely they'll have merch for that as well? Edit: Replaced the mercari JP image with another that's better quality:

Edit: I rarely use twitter, but I decided to search it, and found this image of the poster out in the wild. Thought it would be interesting to share:

Wow, the teeth in that Therizinosaurus... They're so weird considering how nice the rest of the set looks. I don't keep up with TakaraTomy's dinosaur stuff much, but I'd love to see more of those Jurassic Park scene sets.
