Carnoking

So you spoke to someone in the gift shop to get those? Might have to try that down the line if so.

ceratopsian

Emailed the shop using the contact address from the museum website. So technically no, only wrote to each other!

avatar_ceratopsian @ceratopsian Man that Triceratops does look rather fantastic. Congrats on scoring it. The one on the book has a similar coloration as well I noticed, though maybe not as bright as the CollectA toy. Interesting.

That reminds me I still need to add this variant to the DinoToyCollector website (and probably the first batch of their 2023 reveals not long after).

Edit: Added now.

ceratopsian

Thank you avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin.  It was specifically coloured to reflect the artwork the museum had commissioned for their exhibition of the T. horridus fossil - though as you say, it is brighter and simpler than the museum artwork.

Our postman has been busy!

Here's the bounding Triceratops from the Kaiyodo CapsuleQ Museum 2022. I'll add more photos, including some comparison shots, in my own collection thread (which has been untended for too long!)

Found some new JW goodies:

Fembrogon

The Kid Galaxy cometh!

I could have bought Jacques the Deinocheirus for the price of these, but noooo...  :))

I've been low-key fascinated by this line since I heard about them here on the forums, so I finally bit the bullet and just got them all (well, what I could find on eBay). Now that I've got them in hand, I have to say: yeah, they're kind of junky. But they're MY junk now, so there.  :P

This thing basically became a grail for me, but finally!

Faelrin

avatar_MLMjp @MLMjp Glad to see you were finally able to get your hands on that after all this time. I think that's one of Mattel's better ceratopsians (and to think there's no way they'd do a paint app this complex on the mainline these days). I do hope we get a version in the HC however. Until then though, this one is sufficient. I also wonder why they never made another, especially for Dominion?

I also wonder why they didn't put one in the Dominion line instead of Triceratops repaint number 182839238398.

Also, forgot to add something, I also found the Irritator at decent price, basically at the same time. Unfortunately I could only afford one. Thankfully I can live without that one.

Faelrin

avatar_MLMjp @MLMjp Yeah I would have gone with this one as well if I were in your shoes, what with it being older, and a film canon species.

EmperorDinobot

I recently acquired a bunch of Kid Galaxy figures with the intention of reviewing them avatar_Fembrogon @Fembrogon , but you can have 'em. I also have some that are not in your bunch. I was not planning to keep them and will put them on the store soon.

I ordered the Amazon JP3 Brachiosaurus. It's my final b-day gift from me to me. It's going to be here a day before.

The Jungle of Giants is coming together. Can our heroes Mark and Lori retrieve the lost DNA before it's too late?

Oh, is that so? I'd be happy to correspond and sort out who'd like to review what. Personally the two I'd like to cover above all else are the Giganotosaurus and the Suchomimus.

A friend found these two books tucked away deep in their bookcase. 1965! Some great paleoart in there, very happy indeed!

PrimevalRaptor

Those Kid Galaxy figures really are neat in an odd way, remind me a bit of Chap Mei. Young me would have been all over them given how many of them are 'inspired' by the Dorling Kindersley models used in their dinosaur books.

Oh I'd love to! I have the Therizinosaurus and was going to do that, the ugly Pteranodon, the sauropods, etc. Anything not yet posted. Afterwards, they will all go into the store because I'm unable to keep them here, sadly. I'd have to open a new shelf or put them on top of the Chap Mei and...I'd rather go after the Anias, the Dino King items, and other CM stuff.

What a great find (or should I say re-discovery)! You have a very good friend there!

Does the WE Swinton book have art by Maurice Wilson? I managed to get Swinton's Fossil Amphibians and Reptiles book from the 1950s earlier this year and there's some lovely Wilson plates in there.

TooOldForDinosaurs

Since I am not active on the ATF I'm gonna share this here.  ^-^ Some non-dinosaur figures I recently added to my collection:

Found the old Bullyland fire salamander in splendid shape for 5€ and couldn't pass on that offer. The Japanese Giant Salamander I was able to acquire through avatar_postsaurischian @postsaurischian - many thanks! The seller of those last two beauties did not want to sell them separately, because they feared, they might not be able to sell one of them, since a small part of its tail is missing. So I had to take both of them in but got a good deal either way and am very happy that I was able to expand my Tennessee Aquarium Salamander collection.   :)

Faelrin

avatar_TooOldForDinosaurs @TooOldForDinosaurs Nice diversity of salamander figures you got. Which are the two red and black spotted ones? I feel like I recognize them, but been a long time since I last read about them.
