PrimevalRaptor

I'm very happy that Hammond Collection stuff is finally available here, the articulation and balance on those guys is insane.
It's of course not the most accurate Concavenator out there (still puzzled by that fourth finger) but overall really cool (and hey, you can pose it in a way that gets rid of the pronated hands lol)
Looking forward to the Irritator and Corythosaurus for sure now.

Flaffy

One thing I don't understand about the Concavenator is why it's the only mid-sized theropod with articulated wrists? Even though both the real animal and the taxidermy in JWFK does not display particularly remarkable or large hands.

The HC Spinosaurids really getting the short end of the stick here with fixed wrists and comparatively small dimmunitive arms.

PrimevalRaptor

Yeah you would think the theropod group that's known for rather strong arms with large claws would have that but I guess they 'nerfed' them in the movie already. Still odd.

Faelrin

I also think it is strange that the post Concavenator theropods don't have those articulated wrists. Or even the ones prior (minus the posable Indoraptor which also did).

avatar_PrimevalRaptor @PrimevalRaptor The FK statue had that weird fourth digit/thumb. I think you can see it in the picture avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy shared.

Anyways glad I got this one on pre-order from Entertainment Earth (and managed to bundle it with something else for free shipping back when they had a code for orders over $40). One of the best of the HC line so far I think, in terms of both paint, articulation, and also likeness to the source material.

Fembrogon

Say what you will about Safari's stocking challenges right now, but once they've got the stuff, they ship it FAST!

Majungasaurus is very cool. I'm looking forward to displaying it and photographing it with some fellow Safari theropods soon.
I threw in the Amargasaurus and Sauropelta for good measure. The Amarga is quite nice when viewed in hand, apart from the spooky facial paint. I already have a 'pelta in storage, but it's such a good figure, y'know?

Faelrin

avatar_Fembrogon @Fembrogon Good little haul there. Seeing the new Majungasaurus next to the Sauropelta gives me a good idea on the size range. The Sauropelta is also a classic, and one of the best nodosaurid figures made to date, so great choice there. Man I really can't wait to get my hands on the new figures from this year. Still have to catch up on last year's as well.

Some very humble acquisitions, the Wild Past Protoceratops with nest and the Tethyshadros pair, finally reaching me from across the pond care of ED. It was a LONG wait, three months, due to the UK postal troubles and the Christmas season congestion, but they finally arrived. The box was crushed, but the two inner boxes protected the little 1/35 scale figures.

Here they are inserted into my hadrosaur and ceratopsian bookshelf dioramas respectively. These little gems sure are tiny compared to the big PNSO Corythosaurus and Doyle one and two:

S @SidB I love the Tethyshadros pair. I wish there were more figures depicting the animals in a lying (or sitting) position.

ceratopsian

I'm glad there was a happy ending to your protracted wait. The Tethyshadros pair look very snug, protected and safe in their new home. I too like animals depicted as sitting or lying - it gives more variety to my displays.

Crackington

Very nice diorama S @SidB, love the use of the rock and foliage to create a naturalistic feel. Love the Wild Past figures too, my faves from recent times for new models (nice and small  :))).

They do look snugged in, don't they? Here's the shelf diorama itself. It's a quick snapshot, with a bit cropped off each end, but it gives an idea of the context. I think that the contents are pretty identifiable to most DTB/DTF users.

I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of detail on these tiny figures. Hope that they can release more of these small exemplars of 1/35 scale dinosaurs for us in the future. Here's the surroundings for the shot of the Protoceratops, a bookshelf diorama that includes most, but not all of the contents in the picture. Yes, I believe in the copious use of vegetation and rock, as is quite obvious. Love small worlds.

My BotM Guanlong and Yutyrannus arrived yesterday. Here's a quick pic of them both, alongside the Kickstarter exclusive 1/35 WWD style T. rex:

This is everything I pledged for during the kickstarter. Will need to pick up some of the others later.

True, though it seems to be a tricky design decision, not so much as it applies to salability as it relates to the collector, but rather other segments of the market - is this figure playable? A criticism of this sort has surfaced here on the Forum concerning PNSO's Andrea. I wonder how CollectA's unorthodox figures have fared in terms of sales? For me, these types are great for dioramas.

SidB

The new PNSO Lucas, in all its splendor. A formidable accomplishment and a wonderful addition to my collection:

Comparisons with the older version - slightly shorter; note the dramatic increase in neck muscle mass:

Faelrin

S @SidB Man that really shows how much of an upgrade the new figure is. Congrats.

Trying to like your post too, but clicking on it just redirects to the post weirdly.

Thanks. Maybe someone in the know can suggest a cause for that malfunction?
