Thanks for that, avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin.  I changed my vote and put in the BotM Medusaceratops in place of the BotM Sinoceratops.

Sim

Unlike the allosauroid poll, this one doesn't have many ties.  Although there is a notable one, there are four figures competing for 10th place!  Please vote if you haven't already, the poll is better the more people have voted.  And maybe one figure will rise out and claim a place in the top 10.

Sim

Looking at the results, if the BotM Styracosaurus wasn't split in two it might have made it into the top 10.  I think in the future I won't separate figures with minor sculpt differences if I do a poll with them in.  Also, CollectA didn't make it into this top 10.  Maybe if they ditched the filaments on their ceratopsids they would.

Sim

Let's get this poll to at least 40 votes!  Who doesn't like ceratopsoids?  Well, I can think of one person, but besides that they're popular, right?

Sim

I think we can get 40 votes at least, here.  Please vote if you haven't already, it makes the poll better! :)  It's funny how with both the allosauroid poll and this ceratopsoid poll, after it's underway great new figures of these animals are released... (PNSO Mapusaurus and Haolonggood Pentaceratops.)  I wasn't expecting it since another member of that group was released by them not long prior...  I guess this is what it can be like with the two most represented groups in figure form.  I think it's too late to add the Haolonggood Pentaceratops to this poll, as I think people wouldn't want to vote again in this poll so soon.

ceratopsian

I agree it's too late to add the Pentaceratops now. A shame though! As you say, more voters would be good.

Halichoeres

Funny about the Haolonggood, I just looked at my votes again and the Favorite Co Pentaceratops is in my top 10. Too bad it's kinda hard to find.

I voted for the Favorite Pentaceratops too.  If the Haolonggood version was in the poll I would have voted for it instead.  I think it most likely would have ended up in the top 10 if it was included, perhaps even challenge the Safari Nasutoceratops which is in the number 1 spot!  But this poll is almost complete now I think, so the Haolonggood Pentaceratops can be included in the next version of this poll, if it happens.  Two more people need to vote to get 40 voters for this poll, go and vote if you haven't already, please! :)

Halichoeres

By contrast, I plan to keep the Favorite. It isn't quite perfect, but I still prefer it to the Haolonggood version. But the Haolonggood is also very nice and I think you're right it would have fared well in the poll. This is such a popular group of animals that a poll will never be able to stay current!

To me the performance of the Battat Styracosaurus, now tied for second place is really remarkable. Granted this was a great figure, part of what made the Battat line legendary, but this is a 25ish year old sculpt!

SidB

This ceratopsoid poll has 39 votes. Let's help avatar_Sim @Sim by getting it over the magical 40 barrier - one last heave!

Sim

We have 40 votes now! :)  The Battat Pachyrhinosaurus managed to make it into the top 10, or 11 rather as there's a tie.  avatar_Gwangi @Gwangi, this poll is now ready for a video!  I leave it up to you which you make a video of first, this or the allosauroid poll.

Sim

avatar_Gwangi @Gwangi, when you're able to make a top ten video, I suggest making it for this poll next as there are already two new great ceratopsid figures (the Haolonggood ones), with more possibly coming...  It would be good to have this poll become complete with a video before it becomes too dated.

Sim

Now that I'm making Dinosaur Toy Blog videos, I'm hopeful that this poll will be successfully completed!  Since there have been notable new ceratopsoid figures by Haolonggood and Mattel, I think it's worth resetting the poll with relevant new figures included.  The shortlist of figures is in the first post of this thread, I've included all the Haolonggood ceratopsids, are there any from anyone else (e.g. Mattel) that should be in the shortlist?  I'll launch the new poll in a week!

Faelrin

Here's the roster of the mainline Mattel ones so far (in case anyone might be interested in any of those not present currently):

Honestly with Haolonggood now my votes will change, but not like drastically so. I like some of the new and upcoming Mattel ones, but like not enough to vote for with the other competition as it is.

I've updated the poll with Haolonggood's newer ceratopsids and reset the votes to 0!  The poll is now open!  After it reaches 40 votes I'll make the top 10 video for it and we can move onto a top 10 for something else!  For now though, enjoy this one! :)

Faelrin

I split my votes between 3 BotM, 3 Haolonggood, 3 Safari Ltd, and 1 Mattel.

For me, it was 4 HLG, 3 PNSO and 3 Wild Safari. It felt sort of strange not voting for the classic Battat Styracosaurus, but I do believe that PNSO's release has superseded it.

Sim

I find the Styracosaurus situation surprising.  Battat's seems to be still considered the most popular.  I like it a lot, but I too think PNSO's is better.  And then there's the Safari 2019 Styracosaurus which is an excellent figure, but doesn't seem very popular...  Also, people seemed so happy with the PNSO Centrosaurus but it's not doing so well in this poll..

I can't speak for anyone else, but what bugs me about Safari's Styracosaurus is the blunted, curving frill horns. I know that Safari did that for safety reasons (this is a toy intended for children, after all), and for most figures, it wouldn't be a problem. But in this case, the bent horns change the characteristic silhouette of Styracosaurus so dramatically that I couldn't get past it.

I picked both CollectA's and PNSO's versions over Safari's.
