I recently acquired this figure through a purchase, and I was about to post it on my Ebay to sell it; But has this figure been discontinued? Specifically, this color variation?  In case the image doesn't load; it's the bright blue Mojo Baryonyx

Faelrin

avatar_dinocollector @dinocollector That one was originally released in 2018. It was repainted in yellow in 2020. The current 2024 catalog only shows the 2020 yellow repaint, so I think that means it is out of production now.

The yellow Mojo Baryonyx is actually a new sculpt, it replaced the blue Mojo Baryonyx.

avatar_Sim @Sim It looks like a repaint to me? For comparison:

That said looking at them both side by side I can see some minor differences in the head, primarily the teeth, and maybe the hands. The rest is pretty similar though so I wonder if it was just slightly retooled to be more child friendly? Would explain the extremely short shelf life it had. Edit: It seems this yellow Baryonyx is a Deluxe version. Guessing it is larger too then? Not sure. Gonna check some reviews for more info. Edit 2: Checked some of Andy's Dinosaur reviews, and it appears the 2018 and 2020 Deluxe are nearly the same in size. Looks like there is some scale detail sculpted over some wrinkles as well.

Their other Baryonyx sculpt from 2020 for comparison:

Which got a repaint this year:

The sculptor of the Baryonyx said the yellow is a new sculpt to replace the blue one, here: https://www.deviantart.com/revenant-99/art/Baryonyx-MK2-prototype-toy-sculpt-827855516

avatar_Sim @Sim Thanks for passing that info along and settling the confusion I had.

Thank you for the clarification!  I'll keep the item as a part of my personal collection  :))

Fembrogon

I happened to be shopping on Amazon in time to notice PNSO's store had a 15/20% discount going on recently, so I dropped Lufengosaurus in my cart and it arrived Sunday. Lovely green dinosaur!

SidB

Some new arrivals, settling down in my temporary refuge atop my Thorens turntable. Guess that I won't be playing any records for a while.

The HLG Maiasaura pair - beautiful figures, I refuse to be shaken by to little kerfluffle over the hornlets and am delighted to have acquired them for my hadrosaur herd.

The Gastonia, a real gem:

With the HLG Ankylosaurids and Nodosaurids:

Primeval12

Not a prehistoric thing but I got a Steve Irwin figure a while back to pose with my prehistoric crocs and dinos :D

Primeval12

I just got the Chaos Theory Altispinax!  I quite like it though not as much as I thought I would.

It really is what most of the mainline figures should strive to be in quality, paint and sculpt. I saw it on shelves just the other day too but didn't pick it up. Hammond Collection is my focus now and it'd be really cool for the Becklespinax to enter the line.

Very nice... That Starfish in particular is super realistic looking.

Three awesome new JW additions (plus a bonus Collecta Tarbosaurus):

Ludodactylus

So Friday was a a rolling comedy of errors for me; just one bad thing happening to me after another, so I treated myself to the Haolonggood Dilophosaurus pair, and they arrived from Happy Hen today.

"The most popular exhibits in any natural history museum are, without doubt, the dinosaurs. These creatures' popularity grows each year, partly because of the recent resurgence of dinosaur movies, but also because a skeleton of a full-sized Tyrannosaurus rex still has the ability, even 65 million years after its death, to chill us to the bone." - Ray Harryhausen

Mellow Stego

So my Hammond Collection Giga came in the mail.
It looks amazing, but maybe a little too big. Guess I should've know that.

*edit
While writing this my HC Therizinosaurus just came to the door as well.
Keep calm and love dinosaurs

Recent acquisitions from eBay:

These all came as a lot, which I mainly bought for the BOTM accessory pack, but the Atlasaurus is a great figure too.
The Collecta Mamenchisaurus is a duplicate for me. I'll probably be selling both as I plan to get the HLG one (not without some regret, as the Collecta is also a very nice figure, but one has to be disciplined in order to avoid running out of money and space).
One day we will know the truth about Spinosaurus... but not today.

Nice acquisitions avatar_Elengassen @Elengassen!  Your Microraptor's tail is upside-down though, the holes should be on the underside.
