I never thought I'd have an over abundance of them as a kid. With Mattel, every other company, and the pre-orders I have I can't imagine getting anymore..well MAYBE a Rex standing on the Explorer as a big diorama ( not Iron Studios version ) but that's really it.

Looks pretty good in most of those pics. The paint on the stripes and main body look like they could use a wash? Something more to bring out detail vs a heavy airbrush?

looking at some pictures, I think they went for accuracy instead of detailing, you know?

Perhaps, we only see it mostly in darker/limited light scenes anyway. That makes it difficult to judge. I'm sure the sculpt is accurate to the source material they used, probably renders?  Still think a wash might help look less flat in the areas where it has the striping painted.  I actually canceled my 1/10 Spiral Giga, it just wasn't meeting my expectations for the price tag. This one at least is MUCH cheaper. When I'm done I'll have 6 JW Gigas..more than enough for anyone I think lol

I'm getting better applying washes so I might try that myself on it. On the other claw it would devalue it..hmmm

I agree, personally I prefer my Nanmu Border variant - this one looks too "cartoon" or "flashy"
Now, DD bring us the Theri' please!

Hmmm. The paint seems like a significant downgrade from the prototype/initial reveal.

The P1 budget line is big but that's about it.  Lots of detail loss. 

The Nanmu has softer detail but nicer paint the DD is more accurate to the renders but the paint took a major step down from prototype to production as evidenced by that last box shot.
