Not the most exciting species choice, but I can definitely see the Mammoth being very popular. Hopefully this opens the door for the other Cenozoic beasts to be produced sooner rather than later like the Andrewsarchus.

I've been on a bit of a megafauna kick as of late thanks to a few recent books and museum visits so this announcement couldn't have hit at a more opportune time. I am excited to see what the line has in store!

Looking forward to backing this one. Been wanting a mammoth action figure for nearly just as long as I've been wanting a Smilodon one.

He's already got one in the pipeline (per the first post on this thread). The pictures of it look amazing.

I'm interested to see how Eons will be involved in this. I like Eons because they sometimes look at big-picture trends in paleontology, but also are willing to geek out on some pretty niche stuff. It's an encouraging collaboration.

I'm wondering if he will go with an articulated trunk (think HC Ankylosaurus tail), bendy wire, if not an alternate trunk piece pre-posed. What would folks prefer for the adult?

David mentioned in the comments of the post that he's going with a wire for the trunk. Probably the best solution, even if it will be more prone to breaking than articulated joints--I think a jointed trunk would end up looking far more mechanical than realistic, and it would still have pretty limited movement.

That probably is best. How else can you pose it on your desk handing you a pencil?

wire trunk is definitely best.   Pose and leave and no worries about breakage.  Play with at your own peril.  I'll probably just leave the trunk hanging straight down anyway.

The ears have been confirmed to be articulated, and the latter half of the trunk will have a bendy wire in it.

Just got notice that the elephants line debuts on 9/3 and will include the woolly mammoth, Gomphotherium, Platybelodon and Moeritherium. I'm in for 2 and possibly 3 of these.
