Eotriceratops: I would've thought that the ceratopsid was Agujaceratops given the recurved horns. Seems a bit small for Eotriceratops, but I equally wouldn't be surprised of any undersizing either after how they treated Mapusaurus. :*D

I'm willing to bet that the small ornithopod is Iani. Looks promising, rare to see proportionate figures in the mainline.

Quote from: Dilopho on April 04, 2025, 02:32:11 AMOh, and that Monolophosaurus is the same one from Chaos Theory's blind Baryonyx set. It's one that actually appears in the show, too, so that's funny to see it reused.

It's the old sculpt with the rounded crest. This has to be like the 6th time we've seen this old sculpt already. Quite disappointed we don't have a proper screen accurate one yet.

I like the gorgonopsid. Also wonder what the small ankylosaur is.

Pity Purussaurus wasn't in this. Keen to see what it's like.

Quote from: Dilopho on April 04, 2025, 02:47:50 AMThank you Faelrin, so do you think that gorgonopsid is actually Dentaneosuchus with a big fang or what?
I'm really liking the look of everything here. I want more oddball species.
I'm actually excited to get that Eotriceratops, I had no idea it was coming and it looks nice!

I really hope it is Dentaneosuchus. We don't see enough of the weird Cenozoic crocodiles

Dentaneosuchus has been confirmed elsewhere, but I don't think this is it, or rather I hope it isn't. It doesn't look very crocodilian. But allowing for JW-ification, this could be a passable Smilesaurus or maybe Tiarajudens.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

That photo didn't show for me earlier. Definitely looks gorogonopsian... maybe they're bringing back Lycaenops from the original line?

Especially based on this photo, small as it is.

Fembrogon

That HC Spino has me the most excited I've been for a Mattel figure since... well, the Legacy/Camp Cretaceous Spino, honestly. I guess  know what my favorite JP dinosaur is.  :*D
The Stegosaurus looks very nice, too, a couple of articulation qualms aside. I might try to get it if I can.

And wow, that Utahraptor looks cool! The arm feathers are rough, but otherwise it's a really solid raptor design. Some of Mattel's original output looks better than almost anything in the JW films proper.

avatar_Fembrogon @Fembrogon It makes me wonder if they took cues from the JWE2 design for the Utahraptor or just whipped this up on their own? Hope we see more of it soon.

Now let's hope they take the same approach if they ever do a HC Iguanodon. Because PLEASE!
JWE2 Iguanodon is so amazing. Big beefy arms, such a commanding look to it all. And it's super gorgeous in its black and white skin.

Sorry to disappoint, but if they do a HC Iguanodon it would be the Dominion one.

That's why I said hope and not expect, yahaha
I'd be fine with that as long as it's not like their first attempt, it's a nice figure but a disgusting Iguanodon !

Makes for a half decent Mantellisaurus though ;)

Not sure if this is the place to ask this but what are the impressions of the Gigantic Trackers Suchomimus?  It looks fairly decent to me; not just as a JW dino toy but as a dinosaur figure to display.

It's about 1/18 scale going by hip height and head length.  The tail is fairly short and the torso should be a bit bigger and that's why it's technically not long enough to be 1/18....but otherwise it is essentially 1/18.  Feet are kinda big but if posed standing in shallow water they would be hidden.

It's probably one of the best current figures Mattel has produced. teeth, coloring, size, it's just a really nice overall figure and checks a lot of boxes, say 9/10?  I don't really consider scale when looking at a Mattel figure other in universe, raptors are human sized, Rexes are bigger ,ect..

I love the Suchomimus... but I wish we got the unreleased one that came with Ben. The Gigantic Trackers one is covered in scars and injuries, which while these can be cool details, seem excessive. On the left thigh, there is a massive, deep laceration running vertically that just feels so deep to me? It also has two injuries above the right hip with visible (unpainted) muscle, and similar injuries on the stomach.

This line makes me appreciate Mattel's Spartan paint budget, because if these were all painted, the Suchomimus might just look like a zombie.

That said, I do think it is one of their best painted figures in a while, and probably the only representation of the animal we will see going forward in Jurassic (until it appears in like, Jurassic Park 10 or something awful  ::) ) and it has amazing paint.

Keep in mind that this dinosaur is leaving shelves now for Rebirth dinosaurs. So, if you want it, jump on it now before your only hope is the aftermarket.

Iani smithi, Edmontonia, and Torvoneustes confirmed, as well as Tyrannotitan and Eotriceratops.

Collect Jurassic shared images of them. Will add them later (going back to sleep), unless someone else wants to.

Love tyrannotitan! Looks like primeval giganotosaurus!
Edmontonia reminds me the colours to luis rey ones and battat figure.
Eotriceratops looks weird, specially the eye placement, look too down.
Between the time when the oceans drank Atlantis and the rise of the sons of Aryas, there was an age undreamed of. And unto this, Conan, destined to wear the jeweled crown of Aquilonia upon a troubled brow. It is I, his chronicler, who alone can tell thee of his saga. Let me tell you of the days of high adventure!

suspsy

I do hope I can find the Torvoneustes. Never did see the Dakosaurus, but it's just as well given that I already reviewed the PNSO one.

Too bad that the colour scheme looks identical to the Elasmosaurus'. I was hoping it would be in shades of green.

Tyrannotitan doesn't look to be a very large figure.  Big arms, piddly torso.  Head is not bad except for the multiple bucked teeth.  Probably pass.

The Edmontonia doesn't look too bad...if it has a decent width to it instead of being overly narrow like Mattel usually does on its ankylosaurs then i may get that.

Certainly lots to choose from in the rebirth line.

Blade-of-the-Moon

I wonder how long these were in development? Some look like they don't have the same quality as current Mattel offerings?
