I really like seeing works in progress, and yours are especially lovely to see built up.  The tyranotitan is looking downright epic, and though I can hardly wait to see it completed, I understand that these things take time.  I'm more than happy just to sit back and look over your shoulder. :D

Protoceratops and velociraptor are looking good too.  The brow scale on the protoceratops look very fitting for the little guy.  I like it a lot. :)

Thank you for sharing this with us!

thanks for the kind words mamasaurus. this overal thread was a learning expieince for me as i really do strive to get better and creating quality sculptures of various prehistoric animals. the tyrannotitan is more of a side project at this point. it's massive size and my normal scheduled really limits my time to work on sculptures of such scale. at this time i have finished biulding up both legs and feathering of the body. progress is slow but surely. i'm thinking about going to 1:35 scale animals as more people tends to be more antiquated with figures of this scale and it would be less heartache on my part, lol

i'm also starting to take some time and investing in gathering materials to begin making molds and casts of my sculptures sometime next year. i feel that i'm in the position to actually give molding and casting sculptures a try to test the waters.

as for sculptures, heres the body of the protoceratops hellenikorhinus. cut off the tail as it was getting in the way when i was trying to detail it

and to show off my newest build, my finished 1:35 scale sculpture of Telmatosaurus transsylvanicus. it's 5.5 inches long and slightly under 1.5 inches tall. pretty small sculpture and i wish that i made the details a little less subtle, but overall i am pleased with this sculpt.

Protoceratops is looking great! I like the details on your sculpts, and the Telmatosaurus is great too!

Those are really looking great! Awesome work. What are you using for the eyes?
I'm seeking Orsenigo and other interesting vintage dinosaurs. Contact me if you can help with my search!

Are your 1:35 models still in the works?

yes they are, though a bit on the back burner at the moment.

Spinosaurus1 - How do you do the scales like in the Protoceratops?
We are accustomed to look upon the shackled form of a conquered monster, but there - there you could look at a thing monstrous and free." - King Kong, 2005

i used a small bird feather and used it as a stamp. a pretty tedious task that i'm sort of migrating from in favor of other means of creating textures.

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

Wow, the Protoceratops looks great, do you make it from scratch or base it off of something?
