Collecta has the best selection of dinosaurs, hands down.:)

Unfortunately, their sculpting is beneath that of Papo, Safari, and many other companies.:(

But they are improving.:)

Yes i think the same but we are doing cool figures now, for example the new Daspletosaurus.
[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

My opinion on Procon CollectA is that they have a great selection of species, but I don't like the lack of consistent scaling, and the sculpts are almost uniformly awful.

Hmmm... I'm new here and have also just discovered the Collecta range. Some very unusual species here, with variable sculpts. I think I'll end up with most of them, though!  ^-^

If it helps, I've come up with a scale chart for the current range - I've missed out the 1/40 scale, as these are... er... 1/40!

See what you think - I'm open to changes:
The columns are as follows - the Model Adjusted Size is to allow for the curved sculpt of some dinos!

What make you like CollectA dinosaur so much?  There is no real consistency in CollectA figures, some are hit and some are miss.  Though the 2014 CollectA dinosaur look stunning!  Look forward to your update.  Do you also have up close picture for other brand?

Im not really one to complain about inaccuracy's. But I started collecting because of the mas array of species that CollectA has produced, no other company(except Geoworld) has attempted to make so many of them. When I collect them, I feel like im collecting every dinosaur ever made.

Also, yes.  I do have close ups of other figures from other brands. Though I will have to post them in a there respective threads

Well it all comes down to opinion.  I rather like the figures even the hideous ones, like this Brachiosaurus

A reason to like CollectA is the fact that they improve every year.Other manufacturers go worse every year(Schleich the main one)but at Schleich they don't cara about that they sell lots and lots even with silly-looking obesse clown footed spiky abominations called "Carnotaurus"(no offense to anybody).
CollectA improves their range every year. They're by far the most creative of the manufacturers, releasing the most unexpected, exotic, unusual looking dinosaur species (Who has the stones to release a Ichthyovenator?,for example). And they create spectacular poses and new series(dead dinosaurs, killing dinosaurs, dinosaur families, etc.)CollectA's one of the best manufacturers by now, from my point of view.

I'd say that CollectA are light years ahead of Schleich, yes. And they are creative.

But I don't really think they're improving every year. They make mistakes in nearly every one of their sculpts, or there is a cosmetic thing about them that always bothers me.

If you compare CollectA's stuff today with their old stuff, you would see an improvement, but only because they sacked their old sculptor and hired Anthony Beeson. That's not really any improvement, they just became more collector orientated and caring more about their fanbase (which I admit is a good thing)

I can count the number of CollectA releases I actually like on one hand. The rest are meh. And don't forget they have released some new stuff that is pretty controversial (their Mapusaurus that divided many of us) and their "Tyrannosaurus with prey" was ugly as sin. In my opinion their strong suit is their extant animal models.

I think the same that you friend, their production are better than their beggins and they have done some of obscures and stranges dinosaurs as proceratosaurus or its new Icthyovenatro or the amazing Carcharodontosaurus  ^-^.

I'm not big into CollectA either though I do like a few of their models and there are quite a few in my wants list. I don't care if they make an obscure species if that species ends up looking bad or inaccurate. I will never be a CollectA completest. If someone is interested in collecting obscure species, I refer them to Kaiyodo. Kaiyodo figures look much better and are among the most accurate models you can buy. They do seem to be improving but models like their recent Daspletosaurus remind me that there is still a lot of room for improvement.

Yes,I agree,they're much better than Schleich  :)
Though they don't improve in great quanitities every year, they hear from fans and they're doing the correct things.Compare their Argentinosaurus (from last year) with their new Diplodocus.I have the Argentinosaurus and it's a nice model, but their Diplodocus is a gem.Even if somes are 'meh'models ,like their Daspletosaurus,it's even much better than last year's Tyrannosaurus.Their prehistoric mammals (and birds, like the Kelenken)are excellent, but only the 'after 2011 and 2011)because their Paracethirium looks pretty stange.Their recent deluxe models aare also very good, imo.
Just my opinions.

Blade-of-the-Moon

I actually really like the Argentinosaurus..lots of detail..just needed to be larger... ;)

The pose I guess is what pushed the Diplo over the top.

I do find I like the artist in particular who makes the piece like the Argentinosaurus..he/she has a really neat, detailed style I'm drawn to.

Brachiosaurus

My absolute favorite collecta dinosaurs figure is Miragia and this year's Therezinosaurus
