I might order it, but I don't think the kickstarter page is doing a good job at showing high quality photos of the figure...

@SenSx I'm pretty sure that's because Kickstarter has a limitation on file sizes. I think there may be some better images up on their website.

@Faras do you know if this figure has been discussed recently on Chinese forums, such as Baidu? If it hasn't, and people there became aware, I think it would be a great help, maybe even that would settle it, now that the goal is close.

I wonder if they have any plans for stretch goals at this time. Though maybe focusing efforts on producing the Spinosaurus first before starting new figures is a good idea.

@Concavenator Some discussions during previous kickstarter but nothing this time. Hmm most would buy it on Taobao anyways since shipping to China is absurd (iirc full cost of 1:35 Spino was over 80 euros. BoTM kickstarters were similar, crazy shipping costs so better wait for Taobao).

Yeah international shipping to China has never been cheap, but it's just been cost prohibitive since Covid.
Like Faras said I'd imagine many of our fellow collectors over there are waiting on a TaoBao release. So when this figure gets released, Mesozoic Life should definitely make an effort into locating a distributor for the Chinese market, as well as other Asian countries.

Well, I just pledged to put us over. I am gonna sit and think about this for awhile, though. I still have major reservations, and I can't shake the feeling that the team has bitten off way more than they can chew (and just haven't realized it yet).

It's finally funded!!! So happy about it. The model really deserved it.

This is amazing compared to the last campaign! I think the main reason the last one suffered was because of timing. Making your Kickstarter during a much more popular (BOTM Tyranno series) and widely hyped-up one is a bad idea.

I am not going to purchase this figure for now mainly due to some studies about why the COM would prevent it from being bipedal, but maybe sometime soon after some videos on it.
