mb-cg,donyou know when will the Pegomastax be finished?

Tyrannax

Your work is very impressive. What software do you use to model? I'm sure you've answered this question somewhere within the thread, but hey, I figured I'd ask.  ;)

One of these days I am going to remember to tell Manuel that now that he has a nice model of yinlong, without alot of modification he could also offer Tianyulong or a psittacosaurus using the same base model, and some minor modifications, to expand his model inventory...guess I just told him though
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen

I don't know, but it won't be soon. I'm looking forward to finish my other projects and model new dinosaurs  :)

Thank you Tyrannax, I use Mudbox for 3d sculpting

Thank you amargasaurus cazaui, I will check that species

Here is another illustration I did depicting two Tyrannosaurus Rex:

And here is one of the projects I finished that have been published recently:

Awesome !

Thanks!!

I haven't made any progress on new dinosaurs and I hope to have free time soon. Meanwhile I have collaborated on the last issue of the 3D World magazine with an article about how I created my Spinosaurus illustration. I would like to thank all of you that have helped me desgning my dinosaurs. In the magazine there is also information by Jack Horner about how Jurassic World dinosaurs will look and a tutorial about how to model (a not so accurate ¬¬) Tyrannosaurus.

I'll have to pick that up to check it out, I've been really curious how you made some of these recent composite renders - they look simply fantastic.

Thank you, the article doesn't go into details about the compositing and it's more about the modeling in Mudbox because the Spinosaurus image is really simple. If you want to know more about the process just let me know  :D

Oh man, absolutely. I've been wanting to learn some compositing stuff for awhile now.

Please.
I really need to know. My brother's birthday is coming up and he wants a Zhuchengtyrannus Magnus.
He does not know about Shapeways, and I think I can fool him. Aren't I sneaky? ;)
I need it by 1 week from now because, for me at least, it takes a month and my brothers birthday is in about 1 month

The compositing of my latest illustrations was pretty straightforward. I rendered the dinosaurs in 3ds max trying to match the background so I only needed to do a few colour corrections in photoshop. I did a breakdown of a Jurassic Park animation I created where I show all the layers. For me compositing is the best part of the process so I encourage you to try it  :D

Sorry for not answering before, I don't know how different are the T. Rex and the Zhuchengtyrannus. As far as I know we only have parts of the skull so it's not easy to say. According to wikipedia the length was about 10–12 m (33–39 ft) that is about the size of my T. Rex model  so maybe you can try  :D

I don't there is enough known of it to say it couldn't so go for it (also, pick the feathered version) ;).

Hello again, I don't have any big news, just I expect to have free time the next month to work in new dinosaurs :))
Meanwhile, the people from cpdinosarus.org have created a Twitter account (https://twitter.com/cp_meg) about one of my figures, the Crystal Palace Megalosaurus. If someone here has the Megalosaurus figure, just take a photo and tweet it with the hashtag #escapewithmeg :D Here is an example:

That's pretty cool, I'm going to London again in a few weeks so hopefully I can visit Crystal Palace and see the dinos >:D

mb-cg

Lucky you!! I hope to visit Crystal Palace one day, although I would have a hard time seeing the inaccuracies of my figures XD. Enjoy your visit ;)

dutchdinolover

The thought of you working on new dinosaurs sure is good news to me!
