So far I think I'd buy all of those.  I can't wait to see larger more detailed pics.

I am wondering if the sauropod is removable. It does not have the appearance (to me) of being a heavy living creature being held horizontal in the air. It looks like an unrelated figure that was intended to be standing on all four feet.
My living room smells like old plastic dinosaur toys... Better than air freshener!

ZoPteryx

Looks like I'll be getting all of these! ;D  Shame that they're not making more than just these five, but at least it's a good bunch.

Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus

Wow! CollectA is coming out strong this year-definitely getting all of them (minus the dead stego). I'm especially excited for the Carcharodontosaurus! Yes!!! ;D

Carcharodontosaurus looks fantastic!

The Quetz is better than the "Hatz" they released a couple of years ago ...

The Quetz is way better than the Hatz that they've released. It's a must have!

All the 2014 models by CollectA are looking impressive.

I highly doubt it. If it was removable, wouldn't they have mentioned it by now? A removable sauropod would have been a good selling point to make to collectors. The sauropod toy is probably held in place with pegs, like the Tyrannosaurus was. You can't see them because of the angle.

I don't really care for the baby sauropod. It looks like someone just took a toy sauropod and stuck it in the mouth of the quetz. I would have preferred it if it were being grasped by the neck or something and if the body appeared more limp.

True. But maybe it's being eaten alive? :-[

Actually, scratch that. If it tried to eat a baby sauropod alive, it would probably end up choking to death. I guess it's left to the buyer's imagination. I think it would have been better if it had been hanging limply, as well. Most likely the Quetzalcoatlus pecked it to death and then picked it up in its beak to carry away, and then eat in smaller morsels.

Okay, I'll shut up now :-X

Blade-of-the-Moon

You could probably remove it if you wanted with a few minutes work.

Birds eat living and struggling animals all the time, so it's possible.

Or, maybe the baby is a rigormortised corpse--it has been hypothesized that the large azdharchids probably acted as scavengers.

To me, It looks exactly like that. Poor greedy Quetzalcoatlus, its minutes before its own death.

I agree 1000.01% .

I see it this way: This model is the prequel to the next year "Dead Quetzalcoatlus" figure.

The finalised version of the 1:40 scale Collecta Carcharodontosaurus. The pose has been altered with the head projecting forward and the head has also been lowered slightly.  The colours on this model are certainly brighter than on the prototype, perhaps most notably the more distinct bands on the body and tail and the blue flashes seen around the eye socket.

Everything Dinosaur should be receiving stocks of this 1:40 scale about the same the dead Stegosaurus arrives.

Ohhhh, lovely figures from CollectA! ;D
This version looks a lot better than the original prototype, cool that it's in 1:40 scale, too.
So I guess they are back to just 5 prehistoric figures then?

Sure looks like it. Though they said they were going back to the regular number of  releases after this year.  :?

That's what pees me off >:(

They said it would be back to normal. So I waited the entire year to see a bunch of new ones and we only get 5.   Which is less then this year

Now,I'm so excited to see Xenoceratops  :)

There will be more than five models. I've spoken to Anthony over the weekend and he has confirmed that he has worked on more figures which aren't ready to photograph yet. The ones already announced are likely to be released in January.  ;)

If that's true, I'm seriously psyched for the others-CollectA seems like they are getting the knack of making truly quality figures! Here's to hoping for more models!  ;D

I really hope that's true. With the current level of quality Collecta is showing, they can make a lot more money out of me if they make more models a year. :)

I think it's simply a case of the others aren't ready and therefore not cleared to go. Manufacturing issues may delay or cause a piece to be cancelled as potentially could finances. My understanding is that around 12 figures have been created but there's never a gurantee that all of those will go into production. You can't always get what you want as it were  ;)
